Is it just me or has the last month literally disappeared in the blink of an eye?! I can’t believe that it’s April already which means that Easter weekend is technically over and I have officially started my new job which for me is such an amazing thing.
Now I’m not usually one for masses of tanning, I am very much used to be slightly pale and I don’t hate it but when March greets you with a bucket tonne of snow and everything feels that little bit greyer and more miserable you need something to remind you that Spring (and Summer) are out there somewhere. This is why I have been reaching for two St Moriz products this month to just give me that little pick m up glow. Firstly there’s the Gradual Glow Tanning Moisturiser* (£4.99) which isn’t a thick, dark scary looking tanning cream it’s instead a nice hydrating moisturiser with just a hint of colour in it. You can layer it up to create more of a colour but for me I’ve just been using it was moisture after I’ve dried off from the shower and it gives me that hint of a glow that I am perfectly happy with.
The Golden Glow Tan Boosting Facial Serum* (£9.99) is perfect to mix in with your foundation to give your face a healthy glow and in March I have found myself reaching for it over my illuminating primer as it gives a really natural all over glow when it starts to develop.
As I am attempting to up my skincare game I’ve been trying out a whole host of items in attempt to hydrate and moisturize my skin as they’re my biggest concerns. I’ve been loving the Rich Moist Soothing Serum* ($22.99) which is a really smooth serum which replenishes the moisture in my skin and really reminds me of a less gel like version of Cliniques Moisture Surge. I’ve been using it in the morning and it keeps my skin pretty radiant.
The Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil* ($22.90) has been great for cleansing my skin when I’ve been in the shower as it’s a mild cleanser which pulls out dirt and makeup from the skin which I always need in the morning as it doesn’t matter how much I do in the evening I always end up with some eye makeup residue in the morning.
Luke has just moved in so we’ve been spending some time looking over and sorting out all his products and despite doing his hair every day he was lacking in styling products so when I stumbled across Moosehead* (£5) we picked up a few variations. The Gritty Styling Clay has a matte finish and adds texture and definition to all hair especially shorter hair, The Shaping Dough has intense hold which will shape, scrunch and lift hair, The Grubby Putty is a firm hold without any shine and the Forming Wax provides a smooth and flexible hold.
For him they work really well and his hair always stays in place which is great for his job when he can’t afford having his hair in his eyes and they smell so nice from my perspective.
I cancelled my Netflix subscription a few month’s ago as it felt like a waste both me and Luke having it so I bought a Now TV subsciption and it has changed my watching habits. Compared to other subscription services there’s so many new movies and I’ve managed to watch a whole bunch of things I’ve been meaning to alongside developing an obsession with the TV show Girls which I wish I had binged watched much earlier as I absolutely love it, although I don’t think I’ll ever be able to watch Adam Driver in Star Wars again after seeing him in the show.
On a sidenote how gorgeous is the black and stone set pen*?! I’m keen to make sure I have plenty of awesome new desk items when I properly get set into my job and this will definitely be coming with me.
If you head to the Southbank Centre you can visit Beltane&Pop’s pop0up bar and indulge on pure hot chocolate spiced with alcohol, spiced cider and milled wine making some of your favourite drinks adult friendly. Sadly I didn’t manage to head along to the pop-up but I did manage to try a few of the drinks from the comfort of my own home which you can buy from Amazon for home at-home magic.
Despite the fact that I’m not a whisky fan the Hot Scotch Whisky Toddy really brings some warmth and depth to a hot chocolate and it was perefect when we had the snow earlier in March. The Spiced Cider though was my favourite, I have no idea how I had gone this long without having warm cider!
These velvet non-slip hangers from Primark have been a lifesaver over the past few weeks as I’ve been totally overhauling my wardrobe to not only re-organized but also de-clutter what I have. I’ve changed over all of my old plastic unmatching hangers for a variety of velvet one’s with different colours holding different items such as vest tops, going out tops, tshirt dresses etc so I know straight away where to look for particular items.
As these are non-slip I don’t have items falling off into the bottom of my wardrobe and as they’re very narrow I seem to have created so much more space within my wardrobe.
