On Thursday evening I went to my first event with the Intu Watford centre and it was a nice intimate meet and greet with some of the staff and a few local bloggers.
On Friday evening me and Luke finally made it to Hawksmoor where we had a really great meal and I got to try all the tasty things I’d been wanting to try for ages.
While Luke was at work on Saturday I took my mum and my nan to the cinema to see the new Mamma Mia movie which was an enjoyable watch even if it was pretty cheesey.
On Saturday evening me and Luke headed into London and after a nice pasta dinner at Spaghetti House we went to The Folly bar in Bank for my friends engagement party.
On Sunday we headed to one of Luke’s friends in the late afternoon to celebrate her birthday and have a catch up with some of his friends.
Five Great Things To Happen
We finally finished watching Luke Cage and it was such a good season, I can’t wait for the next Netflix Marvel series now as I’m at a bit of a loss of what to watch now.
Due to the Amazon Prime day we managed to get the Joseph Joseph bin we’ve wanted for ages and we picked up a new Alexa.
I’ve started using a book swap group on Facebook and managed to shift a few of my books and it’s good to know they’re going to people who really want them.
As we had such a good time at 2000 trees we’ve bought our weekend tickets for next year and I am so excited to finally experience it for the whole weekend.
Luke ended up driving into London on Friday and it was so nice been driven home as opposed to having to get the train.
Five Things Which Sucked
I’ve not had the time this week to some beauty TLC so my skin can do with a good face mask.
As I’ve been wearing a lot of sandals due to the weather my feet aren’t doing all that well so they need some good TLC.
I am having some difficulties with a brand paying an invoice of mine and the accounts team are ignoring my updated invoice with interest even though it will be paid 3 weeks late.
I worked our our London office for work on Friday but everyone there was on summer hours so I was there on my own for the end of the afternoon.
I still don’t have my log in details for an online course I signed up to so I haven’t been able to make a start on it.
Five Things To Do This Week
Have a relaxing day on Saturday and have a proper chilled day as we haven’t had one in ages.
Plan some fun things for Sunday when I head into London for a catch up day with my friends.
Take photos of all of my clothes in the final box in our spare bedroom ready to put on eBay.
When Luke’s at D&D on Wednesday have a bath and face mask to totally relax.
Chase my journalism course login details so I can make a start on the course.
Opihr gin is one of my favourites – especially with ginger ale and a slice of orange!
I’m glad you got your tickets sorted for 2000 trees – it sounds such a fab festival. And I hope you can get cracking with your journalism course this week x

Sounds like you had a busy week! I went to see the new Mamma Mia as well. It had great production value but less of a story than the first one I found.
What an awesome week – well done on getting your tickets, I remember you saying you wanted to get them in a previous post! Enjoy your pamper session while Luke is at D&D.

Another nice week you have had Rhian, not heard about the book swap club but I am keen on knowing more about that as we read a lot too. Good luck with taking the photos and selling your clothes on ebay.
The book swap Facebook group sounds good – how does it work? Do you get new books in exchange for old ones you’ve read? And glad you all enjoyed Mama Mia! x

I’m still planning to watch Mamma Mia. My friend’s little daughter just can’t stop talking about it.
Looks like you had a great week. I really love how you analyse your week and make future accomplishments. Need to learn this from you.
I need to do more self care. A face mask and good bath sound so fabulous at the moment. I think I will take one now!
I love the idea of this blogpost, being driven home instead of having to take public transport can be such a treat!
I need to put clothes on eBay too! I’m so bad at selling stuff online!
Looks like you had a great week 🙂
oh I totally forgot about Amazon Prime day this year! We got some great deals last year including both the kids tablets! x
Oriental spiced gin sounds amazing. I am living trying lots of random flavoured gins at the moment.
