With the colder weather in full force, I am finding myself using face masks a lot more than in previous months and part of this is down to some new masks I have in my collection. I am so bad with shopping my stash and I’m sure I have a lot of items hidden away which would be perfect for the winter time, but instead, I’ve been obsessing a bit over some new products to hit my collection. Here are some of the face masks I’m loving for the colder weather that you need in your life.
Anything which has the words moisture in the title piqued my interest and when I made my first Glossier order I thought the Moisturizing Moon Mask would be one of the best items for my skin type to try. It’s designed as an intense hydration treatment and it’s one of those indulgent creamy masks to use when you have some time to relax and you should leave it on for about 20 minutes. I love using this when I go to bed to read as 20 minutes is a good bed relaxation time. As soon as I wash this off my skin feels bouncy and super hydrated so it definitely does its job in that sense. It is meant to brighten the skin and even out complexion which I’m going to say I’ve not massively noticed yet but I haven’t been using it really consistently.
I bought a collection of Peter Thomas Roth masks from Sephora during a Winter haul and this was the one I was most excited to use as Anna from The Anna Edit raves about it all the time. It’s quite a pricey mask on its own so I wanted to try it out properly before investing my pennies into a full-sized tub of the stuff. I am pretty bad when it comes to exfoliating and this seemed like a great hybrid mask/exfoliates as it’s designed to be a triple action manual, chemical and enzymatic exfoliating treatment. When you pop a thin layer on clean skin you massage it in a circular motion with your fingertips before leaving it for 5-8 minutes on your mask and when you massage it you can really feel the exfoliating beginning. I’ve definitely noticed more radiant skin after use, and my pores feel a bit smaller although it’s a little early to know if it’s smoothed any lines/ wrinkles. When I wash this off my skin really does feel clean which is something I love about masks.
I try not to use the Pumpkin Enzyme mask more than 1-2 times a week so when my skin feels like it needs a bit of a soothing, or some added hydration I’ve been loving the Cucumber Gel Mask Hydrator which is a gel designed for sensitive skin to soother after irritation so it can be used after waxing/ peels. There are so many wonderful things in the gel other than cucumber including papaya, chamomile, pineapple, orange lemon and maple all designed to harmonize your skin. With this mask, you just need to add a generous layer onto your skin, leave it on for about ten minutes and rinse with cool water. I am really looking forward to using this one as we come into the warm weather too as you can put it in the fridge beforehand for a cooling treatment so I might take this with me on my holiday in March.

This is exactly what I need right now, my poor skin is so dry and I know I’ve neglected it. I love the sound of the pumpkin one. I think I might just treat myself.
I have been slacking on skincare this winter. I do have some masks and will start using them. The winter weather does make my skin chapped and breakout. These masks all sound amazing. I will have to look into adding them to what I have.
great post, my skin is AWFUL in this cold weather, especially around my eyes. Will take a look at the brands x
Ooh this is just what I need right now! This weather has wreaked havoc with my skin, it’s SO dry!
I need to pay more attention to skin care this winter. It has been extremely cold and my skin needs all the help it can get. Not only face masks, but whole body moisturizing as well. My heels are also starting to get cracks. I have to address that issue the soonest!
I love using face masks, they make me feel very pampered. I love the sound of both the Peter Thomas Roth masks, might have to give those a try!
Thanks for the awesome face mask ideas. Really love using and trying different kinds of this stuff.
My skin has been suffering a lot during these winter months. I hadn’t heard of the Peter Thomas Roth brand before but those products sound like just what I need!
I love every PTR product I have ever tried and this mask is no exception. First, and foremost – the ingredients: this has a TON of pumpkin in it. So many products have so little active ingredient and are just chock full of preservatives, emulsifiers and basically cheap fillers. Pumpkin is a wonderful and natural exfoliator rich in vitamins your skin will love like A, C, and E.
I like the sound of the Cucumber gel mask hydration! It’s good to keep your skin healthy and hydrated, the fact you can put it in the fridge would work wonders in the summer xx
I’d never heard of pumpkin in a face mask. How amazing!
oh my. This is what I need.. I have tried the cucumber but the pumpkin is new to me..I guess I need to try this..
