AD- Items in this guide have been provided in exchange for inclusion
but the opinions of all items in the gift guide for beauty lovers is my own

I can not believe that it’s the time of the year that I’m doing Christmas Gift Guides again. I am sure you’ll all agree that 2019 has flown by in the blink of an eye. And I’m super excited for 2020 as for me it’s going to be a huge year. But before we hit a new year we have Christmas and boy is it going to be a good one.

I’ve done weekly gift guides for the past 2/3 years and although they are a lot of work to get together I love doing them. I’m the kind of person who loves to get as much inspiration from others as possible. So hopefully that’s how you’ll all feel about mine. I’m starting off with a very fun one which is my beauty gift guide. There are some great beauty products out there and I’ve tried to pick a mixture of tools, skincare and bits any beauty lover would enjoy.

I love getting new brushes at Christmas and this Luxe Studio Rose Gold Duo Set* (£18.99) is a great gift. Not only does this set look good (who doesn’t love rose gold) but they’re great brushes. I love rounded brushes for doing my foundation and concealer as I find they work on my face better. And recently I’ve really fallen out of love with beauty blenders. Brushes for the win.

These brushes are super soft so feel great on my skin and help to distribute the product so well. I’ve been using these for about 6 weeks now and they’ve been great brushes. As they have curved handles they’re a dream to hold. You can check out the full collection of Luxe Studio brushes here.

too cool for school egg cream

Skincare ideas

I’ve tried a few products from the Too Cool For School range and they’re always so much fun. The all-in-one Egg Mellow Cream* (£29.50) is great for any skincare lover.

It’s a firming moisturiser which works as a serum, priming moisturiser, eye cream, neck cream and sleeping mask all in one. As you can tell from the name it’s enriched with egg yolk extract to help nourish the skin. The collagen fibre within it is designed to help with the appearance of elastic skin. The NIacinamide for improving tone and brightness. And the Ceramides to help create a protective barrier to repair and nourish the skin.

I’m quite picky with moisturisers but this one was thick and nourishing but didn’t leave my skin greasy or feeling tacky. And it’s quite delicate so great to use under the eyes as well. I definitely noticed it brightening my skin, and I found any unevenness in tone seemed better after a week or so’s use.

Personalised hand cream set

Face & Body

What’s better than a beauty item?! A personalised beauty item of course! This personalised hand care set* (£27.99) is a great way of sending a special message to someone alongside giving them some lovely products. The set comes with a 250ml hand wash dispenser and a 100ml tube of hand cream. These are both lovingly made in England with locally sourced ingredients which I absolutely love. The items are chocca full of ingredients like aloe, coconut oils and Shea butter so they’re really soft and refreshing to use. And they’re lightly fragranced with fig and pomegranate which leaves a lovely scent on the hand without being too overpowering.

Not only can you choose the wording on the bottles but you can choose from a variety of different label designs as well. From pineapples and tropical patterns to palm leaf and funky lobsters. I love anything I can put someone’s name on and a message to show I care so I decided to get mine for my Nan. The website allows you to personalise it and see what the design of the label will look like. And considering it’s personalised I got my order so quickly!

Korean beauty box

Korean Beauty Box

Beauty boxes can make such a great gift but this one is pretty unique. This is a Korean Beauty Box* (£33.99) full of five items I’ve never seen before. If you’re buying for someone who’s hot on their beauty, or just loves anything Korean then this is the box for them. The box is full of things to pamper yourself which is just right over the festive period including three sheet masks and two different creams. All of the products come from the D’RAN K-beauty brand in South Korea.

There are three very unusual sheet masks including a snail slime, collagen and placenta. I had to do a second take when I saw the later one but apparently, it does wonders for your skin. And we all know how great Korean skincare is so I trust them. The collagen mask is designed to help with your skin’s elasticity and conceal fine wrinkles. The Placenta mask is designed to soften the skin and help with suppleness. While the snail slime mask is designed to help hydrate and boost your skin.

There’s also a Pore Tightening & Refining Wonder Collagen Cream which feels so luxurious on the skin. And a Wonder Snail Treatment Cream to help reduce any visible pores. The whole set comes in a lovely box which will be very easy to wrap!

Fudge shampoo and conditioner

Haircare

You can’t go wrong with some hair care in your beauty collection. This pair is from Fudge which you can purchase through Look Fantastic so it’s easy to get hold of. I have the Luminizer Moisture Boost Shampoo* (£11.95) and the Luminizer Weightless Conditioner* (£11.95) but they also do ones specifically for blondes/ brunettes etc. The shampoo is a reviving formula to eliminate frizz and flyaways. It also helps replenish moisture and keep hair hydrated for that salon look. The conditioner is also designed for hydration.

I find my hair gets greasy quite quickly so I’m really trying to push to washing my hair every 2-3 day (where possible). This shampoo definitely helped with the condition on my hair the day after washing. And I did feel like my hair felt far silkier than normal after using the conditioner. And for me, that’s the main sign of a good conditioner. The shine and silkiness lasted far into the day as well.

Dafni heated hairbrush

Hairstyling tools

Dafnihair was set up by Sharon Rabi who wanted to create a heat dispensing brush. But one that did less damage on the hair which allowed it to grow longer, stronger and naturally. It took three years of development, but then Dafni was born and the brushes are sold all over the world.

The brushes are designed as straightening tools but they run at a lower temperature compared to traditional straighteners. And they don’t stretch the hair out which makes it gentler and better on the hair. The brush which stood out to me was the Dafni Allure* (£155) which does the same thing but is cordless. Once charged it can style up to three heads on a single charge. This means I can take it to a festival where electricity and plugs aren’t available. Or with me on a weekend away and not have to worry about a plug adapter.

When I used the brush I found it really lightweight and easy to manoeuvre in the hand. And although my hair is naturally pretty straight it helped dry it thoroughly and style it really well.

Body sponges

Body care add-ons

If I said I was going to feature sponges in my gift guide most of you would probably ask why. But they’re an item that almost all of us use, and when you find a good one it’s worth shouting about. Ramer Sponges offer a whole range of sponges from the Super Soft Body Sponge to an invigorating sponge for light exfoliation.

The one which I love most is the Drench Luxury Sponge* (£5.75). It mimics the texture and feel of a natural sea sponge so it has a bit of weight to it and feels like it’s really scrubbing when I’m in the shower. But doesn’t feel like it’s too harsh. The actual sponge has a large water holding capacity so a little body wash on it goes a long way.

The super-soft sponge would be great for those with more sensitive skin, or even to be used on kids. It also comes in loads of different colours.

Dr Paw Paw lip gloss set

Beauty stocking fillers

This Dr Paw Paw trip set of lip balms* (£9.99) is such great value as a stocking filler or little present. This little set is so cute and allows you to try out three of the brand’s different lip products.

The set comes with the Original Balm and then two tinted balms (Ultimate Red & Peach Pink) which offer the same hydration and nourishing ingredients as the Original. The balms are also multi-purpose so you can use them on the lips, cheeks and eyelids. The shades are quite sheer but give a good nod of colour. So it actually works really nicely as an everyday blush colour. And multi-purpose products are great to put in your handbag as they can tidy up a number of different makeup bits.

This is a great little stocking filler or gift for someone you don’t know too well as who doesn’t love a good lip balm. Especially in the winter when chances are your lips will need some extra hydration.

LED facial toner

Skincare technology

I’m really trying to take more care of my skin as I’m only a few months away from turning 30. If you’re buying a gift for anyone whose trying to do the same thing then the Collagenius EMS Facial Toner with LED Light Therapy* (£59.99) will be right up their street. Stressnomore stock a whole collection of products to help promote health and well-being.

The handheld device helps to target fine lines and wrinkles and provides deep nourishment to help prevent acne breakouts. The later I am very much in need of at the moment as I’ve been getting some really angry spots. The device uses a combination of red, blue and yellow light therapy to help improve your complexion, diminish blemishes and boost collagen production. Pretty snazzy for such a small device.

Since I started using it I have noticed that my breakouts aren’t lasting as long. Presumably, the device is targeting them quicker than spot treatment does. And my skin does feel slightly less textured which is impressive considering it’s only been a week or two. Considering how much it does the device is pretty small and really lightweight so it wasn’t like doing a workout every time I used it. If you fancy treating yourself to anything from Stress no more you can use my code RHIAN20 for 20% off.
