What Is The OOOOO Beauty App?

Over the past 2-3 weeks, I’ve been a little obsessed with the OOOOO beauty app. And because the app is so new I thought I’d do a post on it to explain what the app is, how it works and the deals you can buy.

What is the OOOOO beauty app?

OOOOO was founded by Sam Jones and Eric Zhang with a mission to help people earn a living doing what they love. And the app works as a network of channels sharing real people giving their real opinions on products. You can browse the videos on the site and see people promoting and giving opinions on beauty products. Then through the app, you can instantly buy the product if you like what you see. For the people who create the videos, you can earn a commission when you make a sale.

Alongside the product videos are live sessions with OOOOO creators which tend to be longer form and show a multitude of products. And these can get pretty crazy.

How does OOOOO work?

If you watch any of the live videos you’ll find coupons for the products which in themselves are really good value. But in some of the lives they do crazy price drops when the number of people watching hits a certain number. And you can grab some incredible deals. Some examples I’ve gotten are a Huda Beauty palette for £20 as opposed to £56. I also picked up a Chloe 50ml perfume for £29.99 as opposed to £70.

During live shows there also tends to be a wheel that you can spin and it gives you a voucher of anything up to £30. You have to use the voucher within an hour but you can get some great deals. And you can even use your wheel vouchers on price drops. There are some minimum spends but they’re really reasonable such as minimum spend fo £30 for a £20 voucher.

How the OOOOO beauty app can afford to sell at low prices

There are two main reasons that the OOOOO beauty app can afford to sell products at such low prices. The number one reason (and their slogan in a sense) is that they don’t buy ads. The brand does not do any marketing, and they rely solely on word of mouth through people. That’s why you may hear the creators say “We’ll price drop this when we get 1,500 people in the room” because they want you to share and encourage more people to join the app. Even just in the last few weeks, I’ve seen live show numbers surge which is amazing as more people learn about the app.

Another reason they can afford to sell at such low prices is that they cut out the middle man. They get their stock from the largest beauty warehouse in Europe and they package and ship the items themselves. So they don’t need to pay a store or company to source and send out the items. This is why sometimes you’ll find products are in limited stock.
