Tech and Travel Gift Guide – Christmas 2021

This is your one month warning! In just one month’s time Christmas will be a mere three days away. Can you believe it?! I sure can’t, but I’m so excited. The next month is probably my absolute favourite of the year. Decorations are out, Christmas songs are playing, there are Christmas meals and catch ups and all the good food. The build up for me is just as enjoyable as the day itself.

As your one month warning I’m back with a tech and travel gift guide for you.

A gift for those who love music

Whether I’m working out, doing a spot of shopping or in the car, I love having music playing. And if you know someone who loves music playing then the Rebel True Wireless Earbuds* (£99.99) would be a great present. Wires just aren’t practical when you’re out and about. Sometimes they don’t stretch quite far enough to your bag/ pocket. Or they fall out if you’re working out or just moving too much. The Rebel True Wireless Earbuds are really comfortable and sit right in the ear really discretely. They have a massive 30 hours playtime with the case, and 8 hour battery life outside. So they’ll last a long time, even if you’re out for long periods of time.

The earbuds themselves have touch control so you can play and pause music and answer calls seamlessly. And they’re sweat and water-resistant so if you’re working out you don’t need to worry. I have an older version of these earbuds that I’ve used constantly for the past few years and they’re amazing. And one thing I love about the new earbuds is that they’ve been crafted with sustainable materials (natural bamboo).

Nordgreen watch

For the watch lover

Me and Luke both love a good watch and have bought each other watches at least two of the Christmas’ we have been together. And I’m sure there will be many more to come. This year I’ve gone for this Pioneer Sunray Dial* (£239), but the thing I love most about the watches from Nordgreen is how customisable they are. You can change the dial colour, the surround metal colour and the type of strap. And this means you can find the exact watch that you know someone would love. So many times I see watches but the strap is leather and I’d rather metal. Or it’s in gold but I’d rather silver. With Nordgreen you choose the style and then customise the look.

Whether you’re looking for ladies’ watches or mens’ watches there are so many designs to choose from.

Curler

For those who want effortless curls in their hair

I absolutely love to do my hair, but I just don’t have the patience and skills a lot of the time. But at my brother’s recent wedding my hairdresser used an automatic curler and my mind was blown. If you know someone like me then the Revamp Progloss Hollywood Wave, Curl & Advanced Shine Automatic Rotating Curler CL-2250* (£119.99) could be the gift for them. It has an automatic rotating system which makes curling your hair super easy. You just have to touch a button, there’s no twisting it around yourself. And the curler beeps so you know when to release depending on if you want a looser or tighter curl. And it has both right and left-handed rotation for each side of the head.

The curler continuously regulates the temperature for minimum hair damage, and you don’t have to wait long to start using it as it heats to 170ºC -210ºC in seconds. And the powerful ionic jet technology ensures your curls are frizz-free, plus it’s infused with Progloss Super Smoothing Oils to add shine to your hair.

I’ve never really been able to curl my hair myself before, but now I can with the Progloss curler.

Eastpak backpack

For those getting ready to travel again

If you know anyone who loves to travel (and is hoping to be able to soon), then a travel bag is a great present idea. Eastpak has a lot of great options for both everyday and travel. And you know you’re getting great quality.

The Tranzpack black snap bold* (£90) is a 2-in-1 cabin size case that can be worn as a backpack or carried with the handles. The bag itself has a built-in padded laptop sleeve so great if you’re taking your laptop/ tablet/ kindle away with you. It has two main components complete with a front pocket. The backpack itself is super comfortable even when it’s quite heavy because the shoulder straps are padded to spread the weight out.

The backpack itself is super comfortable, and you can fit so much in there.

Packing cube

For the organised traveller

I’ve been using packing cubes when travelling for years. They’re such a great way to keep your suitcase or backpack organised and your items kept together. Snugpak Pakbox* (From £6) have four sizes from 1L to 6L that can be used on their own or stacked together for any traveller.

I love to separate day and night outfits, then keep my underwear and sleepwear together and split out other items depending on how long my trip is. The Snugpak Pakbox have mesh fronts so you can see what’s inside, and have handles to make them easy to get in and out of your bag.
