Happy Cyber Monday! We’re now less than a month away from the big day and everything has suddenly turned into a festive overload. Shops are full of Christmas, decorations are starting to go up everywhere and Christmas songs are blasting out everywhere. And I couldn’t be more excited. Especially as I’m back with perhaps my favourite gift guide of them all. It’s time for all things food and drink!
I’ve spoken about experience gifts quite a lot, but there’s nothing like them. You get to enjoy an activity with someone and it’s something to look forward to. And a good food or drink one is hard to beat. The voucher I have is for a burger Brunch with bottomless gin cocktails at Burger Bites* (£79). What’s better than brunch especially when it’s burgers and gin?! There are loads of other foodie-related experiences you can enjoy from meals and afternoon tea to cooking classes and cocktail experiences.
Ever wanted to make a professional bar quality cocktail at home?! Then the Cocktail Society kits are what you’re looking for. I have the Pornstar Martini cocktail kit* (£39), but there are loads of different versions available online.
Included in the kit you get a cocktail shaker, a premium snack, and all of the ingredients you need to make four cocktails. The vodka is something I’d usually have at home, but all the extra bits I wouldn’t usually have, but the kits give you exactly how much you need. I think I’m going to be keeping mine for New Years’ Eve cocktails.
Every year Britain gets through 2.5 billion paper coffee cups, and only around 1 in 400 end up being recycled. These figures alone are pretty scary so we need to do something about it and start reusing them. If you’re buying for a hot drink lover then the Wakecup reusable bamboo coffee cup* (£20) is just what they need.
As well as looking great the cup is lightweight with a leak-proof lid and has an insulated interior so your drink will stay hot for an hour. You can even personalise your cup with a name, phrase, or initials to make it truly one of a kind.
We all know that person who is obsessed with their BBQ and tries to bust it out whenever the weather is warm enough, and sometimes when it’s not warm enough. For the grill lover, the Traeger Pig Tail BBQ flipper* (£25.99) would be a great addition to their outdoor kitchen set.
The flipper is aptly named due to its curved shape and it’s a really handy tool to have as it allows you to flip, move and carry items without marking the item. I know Luke can’t wait to give this a go with a rack of ribs next summer as they’re pretty tricky to move on a BBQ.
Wine is one of those go-to gifts in our family, but at Christmas, you want to do it a little bit special. The wine duo in a wooden gift box* (£30.99) features a fruity red wine and a refreshing white presented in a wooden box, perfect for gifting.
It comes with The Black Pig Viognier which is a firm favourite with my parents and a Silenus Limited Release Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon which has mulberry and blackcurrant flavours.
Having a really nice set dinner set is very important for anyone who loves entertaining. That really nice dinner set and cutlery that you use on special occasions. And that’s where this stunning set of Mikasa tortoiseshell and gold cutlery* (£37.99) comes in. Although if you’re anything like me I wouldn’t want to keep these for best.
The set has 16 pieces so perfect for four diners with a fork, knife, dessert spoon, and teaspoon for each. And the design of the cutlery is really unusual with brown and amber patterned handles that mimic the look of tortoiseshell without being the real thing. They’re made from rust-resistant stainless steel with a gold coating on top that really stands out. And they can still go in the dishwasher! Win-Win.
If you know someone who loves entertaining then the Spectacular Spreads* (£21) book is the book for them. This is the follow-up to The BakerMama’s book ‘Beautiful Boards’ and features 50 different spreads featuring delicious and easy-to-put-together ideas. There are loads of recipes inside, but it’s more than that. There are endless ideas and tricks on how to impress guests and put on a spectacular spread whether it’s a special occasion, breakfast, brunch, dinner, dessert, or drinks.
The whole book is beautiful as well and the photography just makes me want to create a whole spread right now. There are build your own waffles and burrito bowls, Christmas eve snacks, cookie decorating, hot chocolate bars, mix your own Margaritas and so much more.
Every year there are certain things that I’ll buy time and time again for people. And for my nan, it’s a box of chocolate-covered brazil nuts* (£8.99). This box is filled with crunchy brazil nuts thickly coated in rich, smooth Belgian chocolate all presented in a gift box.
The Fine Harvest use the finest quality ingredients so there are no added flavourings, preservatives, or additives. And the packaging is 100% biodegradable, eco-friendly, and fully recyclable.
You can’t beat a box of chocolates as a Christmas gift because who doesn’t love chocolate?! This Guylian* box is such a traditional gift it works as a present on its own or would be great paired with a bottle of wine or a plant as a bigger present. I’m always grateful for sweet treats at Christmas as you can hide them away and in a month or two once all the Christmas chocolate has gone you have your present to eat.
You can grab a box of these in your weekly shop from most supermarkets so it’s a really easy gift to add to your list.
There’s nothing worse than getting a chocolate gift but someone else in the house eating it before you’ve got to it. You won’t have that trouble with the Personalised Wispa Gold Hazlenut 6 pack* (£12.99). I tried my first Wispa gold hazelnut a few months back and it’s a beautiful chocolate bar with hazelnut caramel alongside the traditional Wispa chocolate we all know and love.
The box comes with six bars inside and you can personalise the box with a message. Maybe you want to remind everyone who they belong to like my box above. Or perhaps you simply want to say ‘Happy Christmas’, the choice is yours (up to 15 characters a line).
Now this one is over 18’s only from Smith & Sinclair who are on a mission to make ‘Adult More Fun’. It all started with founders Mel and Emile hosted adult board-game dating nights for people who wanted to meet someone. And it was here that they started to sell their alcoholic cocktail gummies which proved very popular. So popular in fact that they headed to Berwick Street Market to set up a stall selling them.
I have the Gin Obsessed* (£15) set which comes complete with gummies at 5% ABV in four different flavours. You get Gin and Tonic with Lemon Sugar, Hibiscus and Negroni with Hibiscus Sugar, Elderflower Gin Spritz with Thyme Sugar, and Cherry and Hibiscus Bramble with Cherry Sugar. If gin isn’t your thing there’s Whisky Club and loads of other cocktail gummies.
For a lot of people who spent a long time working from home, going back into the office is starting to become a reality. I feel very lucky as I’m only going in once a week which is perfect but I always have to remember to take so much in with me when I go.
If you know someone going back into the office then the rose gold SMASH range would be a great way to head back in. There’s a Rose Gold Sipper Bottle* (£6) to keep you hydrated in the office, gym, or anywhere else. There’s the Rose Gold Diamond Stainless Steel Bottle* (£12) which will keep your drinks super cool. And there’s the Navy and Rose Gold Paddington Bag* (£10) so you can save some money and take your own lunch with you to work.

Personalised chocolate is such a wonderful idea… Wispa bars are ace! Though I am loving the bamboo travel cup! I am always scared to use them with hot drinks as always conscious of the lid being on tight, but this would be superb! Sim x
