How You Can Save Hundreds Of Pounds With tastecard

June 14, 2023

*This is a collaborative post on tastecard but all thoughts and opinions are my own

Anyone who knows me will know that I hate paying full price for anything. If there’s a discount or deal to be had I’m all over it and I’ll be googling discount codes before going anywhere. This is especially true in current times as everything seems to have gotten so much more expensive, especially going out for a meal or activity.

One of the ways we’ve been saving for the past few years is with tastecard as they hunt down offers so I don’t have to. It is a massive help when we go away as we can search for local places to have a cheaper meal.

How tastecard works

tastecard is a restaurant discount card that can save you loads of money on not just food and drink but activities too. Over the past 17 years, they’ve been helping members save money on going out, and with the price of everything at the moment it’s a massive help.

By using their discounts and 2 for 1 deals you can save an average of £23 each time you eat out, or £24 on a pizza delivery order if you want to stay in.

Whether it’s restaurant deals in London or 25% off barista drinks at Caffè Nero they’ve got you covered.

Yearly membership is only £34.99, so you could save that much after two uses. Or you can get a 90-day trial for just £1 with the card renewing a £39.99 after for the year.

How we’ve saved money with tastecard

We’ve managed to save a lot of money over the years with our tastecard, here are some of our favourite ways to save money.

50% off pizza when you spend £30 or more at Domino’s, Pizza Hut Delivery, and Papa Johns. Luke and his friends play D&D every other week and almost every time there will be a Domino’s pizza delivery. Every time we use our tastecard and I can’t even imagine how much money we have saved over the years. We all know how easy it is to spend £30 with just two people, but they play with a team of five, so it’s a pretty great discount.

Italian is one of our favourite cuisines which is fortunate as there are a few great chains available on their 2 for 1 deals including Prezzo, Zizzi and Bella Italia. All three chains offer 2 for 1 on starters, mains and desserts which can save a lot of money on a meal out. Me and Luke try to do date nights where ever possible and this helps minimise the costs.

It isn’t just food and drinks you can save on

With tastecard you can make savings on attractions such as SEA LIFE and Alton Towers, cinema tickets and Virgin Experience Days.

A while back we went to iFLY Indoor Skydiving in a local town to us and got 50% off thanks to our tastecard. It was such a fun activity to do, even though I wasn’t great at it.

I was gifted a Taste card many years ago in my old job and it was so useful. It is great that it can also be used at Sea Life centres too.

Wow! I want a Taste card. Eating out was too expensive even though we can eat out when we have an occasion.

It’s interesting to see how they have adapted over the years. I’ve only ever used the card for discounts when going for meals out. You can make some great savings. I must try using my card for days out too as I’m sure there will be plenty of good options to keep the kids entertained over the summer.
