Six Great Stocking Filler Gift Ideas – Christmas 2023

And just like that this is my final of six gift guides for 2023 all wrapped up. December is just a few days away and my Christmas shopping is almost finished, just the final bits to wrap up.

When I was growing up we didn’t do stockings at home, and it’s only in recent years that it’s become a thing in our household. So this week I’m bringing you a guide with six great stocking filler gift ideas.

The best stocking filler of them all- books

There is no better gift out there than a good book (in my opinion). And a book can be a great way of bulking out a stocking, and it can be a pretty inexpensive gift.

In the photo above is Bright Midnights by Lexy Delorme, the second in a series. This book is based around 17-year-old Amelie who can fly to different times and places through her dreams. And life changes when she meets Clovis during one of her flights.

Or you could go for a festive book like Only for the Holidays by Abiola Bello which is a YA romance. The synopsis reads like a Hallmark movie as it features a city girl and a country boy whose lives collide at Christmas. City girl Tia ends up staying at the farm run by Quincy and they end up faking a relationship, but of course real feelings get in the way. This has gone straight onto my December TBR for all the festive feels.

Stocking fillers for crafting and journaling

This year I properly got back into book journaling (although mine isn’t very aesthetic). If you know someone who scrapbooks, journals or just loves stationary, pens are a great option.

The STABILO pointMax set features 12 coloured pens, covering all your basic crafting needs. The pens have a medium sixed 0.8mm robust nylon tip so you can write with them for a long time. But they’re also thick enough to use for colouring.

For someone who loves a pamper

This Baylis & Harding set of bath soak crystals (£7) features five individual vials of salts. They’re a great size to use over one or two baths, and are great for travelling. When Luke was staying away from work he used to take one of these each week when he wanted a bath.

Stocking fillers to make the home smell amazing

Ava May Aromas was founded by Hannah Chapman on the mantra that fragrance has the power to make a house a home. They sell a whole range of wax melts, candles and reed diffusers.

The scents all smell amazing, my favourite being the orange, clove & cedarwood as I love the zesty citrus mixed with the woody and aromatic scents.

The set comes beautifully presented in a festive box, but much like the bath salts above, this wax set set can be split up across multiple stockings.

Mixers for your festive drinks

I love getting little stocking fillers which are a bit unusual or different. And some of these tonic flavours are just that.

Double Dutch was founded in Netherlands which is also the birthplace of gin. After finding that most mixers lacked the vibrancy of the spirits they’re paired with, twin sisters Raissa and Joyce developed some of their now signature flavours.

Some of my favourites are the pink grapefruit soda, pomegranate & basil mixer, cranberry & ginger tonic and the double lemon.

A stocking wouldn’t be complete without some snacks

Usually I’d go for chocolate or sweets in my stocking filler guide, but this time I’ve chosen protein bars. Over the past few months I’ve made some huge changes to my diet and these protein bars help support that.

The Pulsin bars come in so many different flavours like peanut chocolate, chocolate fudge and cookie dough. And they’re all so tasty, the cookie dough is my personal favourite.
