2015 Where Have You Disappeared To?

Christmas is stupidly scarily close and the spare room in my flat is resembling Santa’s Grotto mark 2 with presents everywhere. I have given a few friends shocks when they’ve seen the extent of just the presents I give. My family always spoiled myself and my brother with presents (and still do) so ever since I got my first job at 16 I like to do the same thing back. I spend an absolute fortune and end up with the room looking like Christmas threw up in it from around September onwards. I love to be able to spoil and treat my parents the way that they’ve always done for me.

In two weeks time i’ll be in a food induced Boxing Day coma surrounded by my family and looking forward to the year ahead. It really has scared me not just how quickly this month has gone, but how quickly the whole year has gone. I’ve done so much but it’s been over in a blur.

Highlights for 2015 have included:

With a busy 2016 already beginning to fill up I have high hopes for my 26th year on the planet.

What do you have planned for 2016?

What a fab year you've had! We were always spoilt at Christmas by our parents which has made me buy my 2 year old far too many gifts! My plans for 2016 are to not worry about turning 27 and bake more! haha

My parents have said to me that when me or my brother have kids they'll be spoilt and our presents will go down haha. I turn 26 in less than a month and I am worrying a little haha x

I completely agree – so much so – I have planned a day this week just to reflect on 2015 so that I don't let it pass without acknowledgement. So scary!

What a super 2015 you've had! I visited Paris on my own for the first time ever, and spent time in London, and for 2016 I've booked myself a solo ticket to Bergen for a week and I'm planning an epic three week cycle down from Shetland (my remote island home in the middle of the North Sea), to the mainland through the highlands to climb Ben Nevis. Here's to the adventures of 2016!

    • Rhian Westbury says:

Wow sounds like some amazing adventures in 2016. I have my first solo holiday starting just after Xmas but I do want to do a weekend city trip on my own too x
