Celebrating My First Year Blogging
I bought my domain and created this little personal space in the web around September last year but I never really got into blogging properly until this summer. Before that I was blogging because I thought I should, I thought recruiters and potential new employers would want to see more about me and my personality and I was blogging for the wrong reasons.
This summer I kept finding myself doing things and going places and wishing I could share that with people which is where this blog has come from. Around 2 months ago I got into a habit of posting every other day – near enough – and it has stuck and I am in a routine now.
Sometimes it does feel a bit like one step forwards and three steps back when you see other bloggers moving forward and getting cool opportunities, but this doesn’t bother me at all. I write this blog as a little something for me and don’t rely on it for an income – although a few extra pennies would be nice! I love seeing other bloggers especially those I’ve been following for years or those I’ve met through blogging having awesome opportunities thrown their way and pushing their personal space forward.
I don’t really make proper new year’s resolutions but I like to make a list of things to achieve/ do so I thought i’d create a few for my blogging life. In 2016 I want to:
- Move my blog to WordPress and have time to properly create the perfect layout
- Continue posting every other day (or close to)
- Document all my travels and amazing things that I have planned for 2016
- Up my photography and find my style for it
- Continue enjoying it 🙂
It’s been an awesome year and here’s to another fantastic one ahead.

Congrats on a year of blogging!! I've got one New Years resolution for my blog and that is to get into a routine, I've been doing blogmas which has really helped me generate lots of ideas, I hope 2016 will make me pull my finger out and get into posting more than few times a week!
