On Tuesday evening I had a night in as I was pretty tired after Edinburgh and going back to work after a long weekend so we just had dinner and relaxed.
Pretty much all my weekdays revolved around nights in as we didn’t have any specific plans and I wanted to relax as much as possible.
On Saturday we headed to the Excel centre to the Grand Designs Live show and it was such a great experience as it gave us a lot of ideas about what we’re thinking towards our future home. We’ve got a good list of the things we really want and roughly how much some of it is going to cost so we can start making plans.
After Grand Designs Live we headed to the Dinerama Street Food Market in Shoreditch and tried a selection of food and drank some gin and tonic’s and it was such a nice evening.
On Sunday I had a full flat catch up day and managed to do so much tidying and cleaning around the flat and I felt pretty productive.
Five Great Things To Happen
I renewed my car insurance and managed to save quite a bit of money by adding Luke onto my policy and saving money is always great.
I did manage to get Biffy Clyro tickets although my laptop decided to switch off half way through so I didn’t get the best seats but I’m there anyway which is the main thing.
We finally got a frame through for our New York photo and I am so happy with how it looks, I can’t wait to get it on the wall.
We’ve got our tickets booked to go and see Deadpool next week and I am so excited for the movie as I loved the first one.
New Girl Pop Vinyl’s have been released for pre-order and like the sucker I am I pre-ordered all four of them. I have no idea where I am going to put them as I have way too many but it’s done now.
Five Things Which Sucked
I totally forgot about Biffy Clyro tickets going on pre-sale on Thursday morning and by the time I remembered an hour after they had sold out.
As my tattoo is still in the healing phase I wasn’t able to have a bath and I was really craving one over the weekend. Just another few days and I should be able to.
I didn’t do a lot of blog work over the weekend so I know I’ve got a bit of catch up work to do.
B&Q didn’t have the wood that we wanted to put up our shelves which was such a shame as it’s been quite a few weeks now that I’ve been trying to get these shelves sorted.
I put on a pound at Slimming World this week which I know is self-inflicted and my own fault but it’s gutting after having a good week last week.
Five Things To Do This Week
Get my taxes submitted for 2017/18 so I know they’re done and paid off.
Prep and schedule in my Father’s Day posts ready for the end of the month.
Add more clothing to eBay so I can start getting rid of it from my flat and make the spare room that bit tidier.
Start making a scrap book for all our house ideas including prices, pictures and as much as I can find. I just want to make things feel a bit more real so that when we come to start looking in 18 month’s time we have this as a reference.
Have a properly relaxing evening with a bath and a full on skincare routine.
We don’t really go to the cinema much as I find it uncomfortable the last time we went was when Deadpool came out so I can imagine Ash might want to go again and I have to say I wouldn’t mind if he did! Look forward to hearing what you think of it.
Do you have a Picturehouse chain cinema near you? They are so much more comfortable, clean and spacious than the big commercial cinemas. At least the couple that are near me are very sensitively designed to meet everyone’s needs.
I keep meaning to get myself to Dinerama, it’s been put in the diary so many times and then something has come up. Glad you got your Biffy tickets even if they weren’t as good as you’d hoped for
Im excited to watch the second part of Deadpool too especially since I didnt think I would enjoy the first one as much as I did! Ryan Reynolds is an absolute babe!
This is such a great idea for a personal post! The last week has all been about mental health awareness week so now I feel a little drained so I cant wait to write some more uplifting and positive pieces!
That was a huge list out there and detailed one. Are you also writing these stuff on your planner? You are so organized and thanks for reminding the Deadpool movie I will look up to it later.

I am obsessed with your pink couch! It is so cute! Love your weekly updates!
So glad you got your five things done. And I love how some of them were simple and fun – like buying a frame for a meaningful photo. So fun! 🙂
