Travel Toiletries I Always Pack When I’m Going Away

Travel Toiletries I Always Pack When I’m Going Away

One of the things I really enjoy about going on holiday is the packing aspect as I love going through all the miniture skincare items I have and packing away a few treats for my skin. I find that I’m more likely to use a face mask when I’m away as if it’s hot or I’m out and about a lot more my skin can feel like it needs a little TLC.

I have a lot of mini’s in my collection, a lot of which came from Sephora as gifts with purchase or the aisle of doom around the tills but I also have a lot from beauty boxes which I am slowly working my way through. I also have some full sized products which I decant into small pots which I bought from Primark as they’re go to travel essentials like two products from Ioma Paris.

Ioma Skincare including a calming masque and a youthful moisture cream

Ioma have 7 different ranges for different skin types and collection 4 is ‘Calm’ designed to sooth sensitive skin and combat redness. As one of my main concerns is redness on my cheeks the calm collection is great for me and I use the Beneficial Mask* 1-2 times a week. One of the main reasons that skin goes red is because it’s dehydrated so the mask stays on for 10-15 minutes so the hydration can penetrate the skin and then it can be washed off. It’s still early days but the redness on my cheeks is definitely toned down.

The other collection I like using is 2 ‘Energize’ designed to boost radiance and combat the first sign of ageing. The Youthful Moisture Cream* is a day and night treatment which is great for travelling as I then don’t have to take two different types of moisturiser. It’s designed to improve softness, suppleness and radiance which are key in anti ageing. The great thing about this moisturiser is that it sinks into my skin quickly so it’s not greasy but it keeps my skin feeling hydrated for a long time after application. You can grab 20% off full priced Ioma products until 30th June 2018 using code RHIAN20.

Something I always pack is my Garnier Micellar Water as it’s one of the best micellar waters out there and they do some great mini sizes. Sometimes I’ll buy mine from Boots if it’s on offer but Primark tend to do it for as cheap as £1. Unless I’m on a sun holiday I tend to wear a reasonable amount of make up so a strong micellar water which cuts through all my make up is essential.

Up next is cleanser and I’ve been using the Tatcha Deep Cleanser which I got in a duo set for $20 with the pore-perfecting moisturiser in Sephora. This is a gel which lathers up when you apply it onto damp skin and it lifts away all the dirt or impurities left on my skin but it doesn’t leave my skin red and blotchy like some cleansers can. My skin always feels fresh and hydrated after I used it which can be hard for a cleanser.

Next up is toner and for an instant glow boost I always go for the Pixi Glow Tonic as I find it makes a difference on my skin straight away as it has 5% glycolic acid which helps with cell renewal. I bought a mini and tend to just use this when travelling but when it runs out I’ll be topping back up from my full size as I absolutely love it.

Now I’ve only gotten into facial oils fairly recently but I got a sample of the Josie Moran 100 per cent Pure Argan Oil in Sephora and I absolutely love it as it sinks into the skin pretty quickly and isn’t at all greasy. This is renowned for it’s youth-preserving and skin-smoothing benefits and I always like to ensure that I don’t drop my routine just because I’ve gone away. I do find with this oil it feels really nourishing and does smooth the skin and the great thing about this oil is you can use it on your hair, nails and body so it’s multi functional which is perfect for travel.

Moisturisers are the items I flit between most often as I have quite a few that I like in travel sizes but at the moment I’m using the Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharge mini as I love the moisture surge range from Clinique as it’s gel like and sinks into the skin straight away and it really hydrates my skin which tends to stay a little dehydrated even when I’m on holiday.

Whenever I go away I tend to take a sheet mask with me as I find them so quick and easy to do in an evening when I’m watching some TV before bed but I also take a mud mask too. I’ve been loving the Josie Maran whipped mud masks and this set of mini’s is great as there’s loads in there to try. The whipped mud mask only needs to be on the skin for 5-10 minutes which is perfect for a holiday skin pick me up and because they’re formulated with 100 percent pure argan oil they’re really hydrating. They also don’t take a lot of effort to wash off when is always good when you’re in a hotel room and worried about staining their towels.

I love my Granier Micellar water, too for that difficult to take off eye make up. My all time favourite though is Bioderm.

The Garnier Micellar water is the one I use too. Leave my skin really clean and I love that they do it in a few different sizes. I never knew they sold it in Primark cheaper, will have to look for that

I have a whole heap of miniatures tucked away for travelling too – so handy not having to lug big bottles around. They’re a great way of trying new products as well.

These are necessary essentials while traveling. I like the cute bag where you carry all the needed items. The mud mask and face wash are key essentials.

This looks like a great travel toiletry collection. Mine is always so full of skin care products because skin discomfort is the worst when you’re traveling. I’ll have to check some of these out especially that ioma brand.
