Beauty And Skincare Empties – Part 2

Beauty And Skincare Empties – Part 2

I am back with part 2 of my empties series which I started a few month’s ago. I have so many products so sometimes I find it tough to actually use up whole products, other than shower gels which I go through a lot.

I always love finishing off a product as I feel a wierd sense of achievement when I do, plus then I don’t feel as guilty buying another.

Benefit Porefessional License To Blot

I had this sample size from a beauty box and I’ve used it quite a lot to help with any little bits of shine which I get on my forehead particularly after I’ve been to the gym and my face can be a little shiny. It’s really mattifying so that really helps but sometimes I put it on and I’m not sure if it’s really doing anything.

Would I buy it again? Possibly, although I’m keen to try other blotters

Empties Armani Foundation

Georgio Armani Luminious Silk Foundation in Shade 2

This is the quickest which I have ever used a foundation even though it still took like 9 months. I bought this in Selfridges last year and I love that this has a great coverage, doesn’t cling to my dry skin too much and doesn’t feel heavy. I think it’s the perfect everyday foundation although it is on the pricier side.

Would I buy it again? Yes 100%, once I’ve finished a foundation or two in my stash I’ll be repurchasing

Benefit Porefessional Primer

I swear that I have had this primer for the longest time and there’s probably more I could squeeze out the end but I’m not all that crazy about it so I’m not too worried. For me I find that creamier more hydrating primer works better for my skin and this is quite siliconey.

Would I buy it again? No, there’s better primers out there for me

Empties Max Factor Foundation

Max Factor Miracle Match Foundation in 6236

This is a product which I technically haven’t finished but I am getting rid of as I just can’t get on with this foundation. For me the main thing which I hate is the scent, mine smells so strongly of biscuits and not even nice one’s so it’s really not nice to put on the skin. After I have put it on my skin I don’t find it lasts overly well and there’s nothing to make me put up with the scent.

Would I buy it again? Definitely not

Empties Peppermint Shower Gel

Twisted Peppermint Shower Gel – $12.50

I am a huge fan of Bath & Bodyworks Products, especially the shower gels as the scents are always quite powerful and this is just that. I bought a lot of products from the festive range at the end of last year so this was a Christmas scent which I’m really hoping that they bring it back this year. The scent of this was powerful enough to fill the shower when I used it but it wasn’t too overpowering. I also have a mini of this so I am super excited to use this on my next longer trip away.

Would I buy again? Definitely, I love this scent

Empties Plum Shower Gel

Frosted Plum Shower Gel – £6

Again another festive shower gel, this time from The Body Shop. I really liked the scent of this as it was a warmer scent than the peppermint one which was super fresh. I’m a big fan of The Body Shop shower gels as the scents last quite well and they’re pretty good value for the product that you get when you compared it to something like Lush.

Would I buy again? Possibly, although maybe a different scent

Empties Shampoo

John Frieda Frizz Ease Shampoo

I use a lot of John Frieda shampoo’s, normally the colour protect one’s but I’ve been using the Frizz Ease one’s for a while and I really like how my hair looks afterwards as usually I blow dry my hair and get a little frizz around the hairline but this prevented that. For the price you get quite a lot of product and I definitely feel that this has helped with moving my hair from daily hair washes to every other day washes.

Would I buy again? Yes

Empties Hair Mask

Sanctuary Spa Long-Lasting Moisture Hair Mask

I love using quite hair masks when I am in the shower, especially one’s like this which only need to stay on the hair for a few minutes. I always find that after using a hair mask that my hair stays really soft and smooth, even after blow drying it and this did well in that sense but I just didn’t like the container that it was in so I’d be inclined to try and find another squeezy tube one next time.

Would I buy again? No because I’d prefer to try some other hair masks

Loved reading your review of all the products. I personally use John Frieda Frizz shampoo and love it as it manages my hair really well. I also love Georgio Armani products and the Luminious Silk Foundation caught my eye, I will be checking to see if they have my shade in stock.

hahaha Women! We do buy a lot of stuff and seldom or never even use them. Beauty products are so addicting. I have a whole big box of unopened beauty products and toiletries in the bathroom. But now, I am starting to use them. No sense wasting money anymore haha
