Christmas Gift Guide For Her | 2018

Christmas Park Candle

It’s now the very end of October which means Halloween is upon us and Christmas is just around the corner. I am ready to put my Christmas tree up and decorate the flat already but there’s still another month to go before that’s acceptable. It’s starting to dawn on me that this is the last Christmas I’ll be spending in this flat which is a little emotional but it means the next step is a Christmas at home saving then hopefully Christmas in our new home.

My very first Christmas gift guide went live last week and I focused on gifts for guys and now it’s time for the gift guide for her.

I’m going to start off this guide with some candles as it’s one of the best presents you can buy someone, so much so that I’ve accumulated so many in the past year or so that I’m on a candle ban. One which I am loving burning is this Parks Candle in Sandalwood & Ylang Ylang* (£36) candle which is from their aromatherapy line of candles giving all-natural and high-quality scents.

The scent is so relaxing and has a massive 50 hour burn time so it’s a candle that will last a long time. It’s great as a present because it comes in a beautiful presentation box and it’s a great size to keep after you’ve burnt it out for makeup storage or to put some cut-off flowers in.

I love Wax Lyrical products and have had a few of their candles over the years, but this Christmas they’ve brought out a new seasonal scent called Starry Night which has a hint of peppermint and citrus notes alongside the warmer scents of amber, leather and, musk. So it’s definitely a wintery scent with a hint of festive nature.

There are a lot of different items in the Starry Nights range including this large candle jar* (£18.99) which has a massive 135 hour burn time which will take you the whole way through the festive period. There’s also a large reed diffuser* (£12.99) which should last 5-7 weeks so should last right through the greyness of January.

Christmas Korres Set

Beauty giftsets are always a great gift idea but there’s almost always something in the set that you won’t use, for me it’s the body lotions as I have so many of them and I never use them when I’m away so mini/ travel sized ones don’t really do much. But this Korres Little Stars Gift Set* (£10) has four different shower gels which is a great option as they are items which will always get used.

There are four different scents included in the set; Bergamot Pear, Fig, Lavender Blossom and Bergamot Jasmine and each smells stunning. The body washes are creamy and do give the skin a nice boost of moisture.

This little set comes from Hayes Garden World and it’s amazing how many awesome gifts you can get from garden centres. The Gardens relax and renew tin* (£12) is great for hard-working gardeners so they can relax their tired limbs and comes in a really cool tin which can be reused afterwards.

The tin contains some Shea Butter hand cream which is super hydrating and smells of lemon, orange and mint so really fresh. There’s some Muscle Soak salts and Bath Relif Soak liquid which has Eucalyptus and Lavender designed to relax. The final item is some Rhubarb Hand Salve with Aloe, Chamomile and Rhubarb which is designed to sooth and condition dry hands.

One of the things I hate doing is shaving but the Philips Satinshave Prestige Wet and Dry Shaver* (£70) makes that process so much easier. The Shaver takes just 1 hour to fully charge or 5 mins to charge enough for a full shave so if like me you always forget to charge things like this you won’t have to wait for long. The shaver has curved blades which are 75% more efficient than traditional blades so you get a super close shave. I’m pretty bad with shaving and always end up missing a few hairs but the multiflex head has dual foils meaning it keeps maximum skin contact so fewer hairs are missed. The first time I tried this I definitely ended up with a better level of shave than I’ve ever had before.

There’s soft-touch comfort cushiosn on either side so it’s a more comfortable shave and there’s a rounded pearl-tip with safety bars so there’s less chances you’ll nick yourself. One thing I love about t is that you can use it wet or dry, so if you prefer to shave in the shower or bath it’s totally safe to do so.

Alcohol-related gifts are a must in our household and for half of us, that favourite drink is gin. Brockmans Gin* makes a great Christmas gift as not only does it taste great but the sleek black bottle will look great in any drinks cabinet. Brockman Gin is a super-premium gin sold in 40 countries at 40% ABV so it’s a must-have for all gin lovers.

The brand has a whole bunch of amazing sounding Autumn/ Winter cocktails and the Brockman’s Autumn Tonic sounds like one I’ll need to try with Gin, Pear Liqueur, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup and Tonic which is so much more than a standard G&T.

Christmas Scratch Map 2

Next up is the Bold Tuesday Go World Scratch and Peel Travel Poster* (£34.95) which is a really minimal scratch map which is a plain black poster and when you peel off a country you’ve visited the white underneath shows.

I am a huge fan of scratch maps and think they make great additions to the wall and this one is really cool as it’s so minimal and would suit any decor. This is the kind of thing that you can either frame and put on the wall or keep rolled up until it’s scratched enough.

Firstly how pretty is this print?! I had no idea that Ryman did anything more than stationary and office supplies but this personalised marble and gold print in a frame* (£15.99) is from them and it’s absolutely gorgeous. Plus considering the price includes the frame it’s such incredible value and the frame is good quality as well.

Anyone who knows me will know how much I love personalised items and I think they’re great for Christmas presents as it shows you’ve put thought and effort in.  There are lots of variations and different styles of personalised prints but for me, this one was the prettiest as the gold foiled print stands out so well against the marble.

Oh my gosh you are so organised, I haven’t even started to think about gift guides yet!

I am loving these ideas, How do you find the throw on the Colony candles? I keep getting so disappointed that candles smell amazing unlit but you never smell a thing around the room once they are alight.

Some great gift ideas here. I’ve been looking at getting an electric razor, that or investing in some professional services (electrolysis). Self care gifts are always well received I think.
