We’ve made it to my final gift guide of 2019. This is officially number 11 and I have no idea how I outdid last year but I did. I love reading gift guides and I hope everyone has enjoyed reading mine over the 2019 festive period.
This time I’m bringing you a selection of gifts which would be great for secret Santa presents. I love doing secret Santas as the mystery around it is always so much fun. We’re doing one at work, and I’m also doing a blogging one which I’m very excited about! I know some families do them as well so you just buy for one person which is why I’ve included an area of present ideas at different price points to cover all budgets.
Let’s start with a gift that I’m sure anyone would love, the Christmas Evenings Gift Box* (£29) from Whittard of Chelsea. This is the perfect time of the year for hot chocolate drinking and a great gift for anyone with a sweet tooth. The set comes with a pot of Luxury Hot Chocolate and a large jar of mini marshmallows so you can make the ultimate warm drink. It also comes with a pair of tall glasses which are great for hot chocolate drinking.
I absolutely love the Whittard hot chocolate as it’s rich but without being sickly. I think the set looks great for under £30, especially as it comes in a beautiful presentation box. There’s also another set for the same sort of price with two different hot chocolates and marshmallows.
I’ve been a huge fan of Hersey & Son for a few years now ever since I got my first item from their collection. I think jewellery is such a nice gift as it’s really personal. And you can get something really nice for them to use and keep for years.
I’ve opted for these birthstone silver earrings* (£45) as I don’t think you can go wrong with a pair of stud earrings. They’re practical for everyday wear but because of the stone in them, they stand out. I didn’t go for my birthstone as I’m personally not the biggest fan of Garnet. So I went for a colour I love, so it means you can stick to birthstone or go for their favourite colour. The silver edging means they’ll sit flush in the ears and you don’t have to worry about little claws holding in the stone.
They also do a matching pendant for £35 if you think a necklace is more their thing.
I love a good scratch map as they’re both a nice thing to hang on the wall but they give you something to work towards. I have a world travel one so mine might take a long time to scratch off, but this Gin Distilleries Print* (From £13) is more achievable.
All over the map of the UK are the names of gin distilleries with a little gin goblet icon beside it, with 75 in total. And it’s simple; sample the gin then scratch it off. Or if you’d like to incorporate travel you can choose to scratch it off when you’ve visited the distillery. If you know someone who loves gin then this could be a great gift for them. And you can even get the text personalised with a little message.
If you’re buying for someone who loves a good cocktail or likes hosting, then these cocktail drink stirrers* (£14.99) are a great idea. They come in a set of four with a gin, rum, vodka and tonic water topper to them. The stirrers themselves are stainless steel so they’re easy to clean and won’t tarnish/ rust. The toppers are hand-painted and the detailing is amazing.
These would look great on a bar, or just to help people know whose drink is whose.
This is another continuation of above, with another present perfect for anyone who loves a good cocktail. This Lolita First Snowflakes Coupe Glass* (£18) is absolutely stunning. All of the glasses are hand-painted meaning they’re completely unique and lovingly made. This one is beautifully festive with snowflakes in gold and silver painted all over with a frosty finish to the bottom and stem.
This would be great for a little cocktail or a glass of prosecco over the Christmas period.
Next year me and Luke will be moving so we’d absolutely love home-related items within our Christmas presents. One thing I’m hoping to get is a new double bed which will live in our spare bedroom. One I love is this crushed velvet divan set as not only is it beautiful but it has a lot of storage underneath it.
If you’re doing a family secret Santa and buying a present for someone who is moving home soon or renovating their house something homey could be a great gift. I know how expensive it’s going to be to move so anything we can get as gifts is greatly appreciated. Plus this bed is pretty great value at £129.99 at the moment.
There is a subscription box for absolutely everything and Cattitude is the box for cat ladies! Chances are you’ll just want a one-off box* (from £31.95) but if you’re thinking of spending more you can get a 3 or 6-month subscription.
For a one-off surprise box, you get 3-4 treats for the hum and 3-4 treats for the cat(s). Meaning it’s something that both the owner and pet can enjoy which I think is amazing. The one-off box features some of the most popular items from past monthly boxes and is free to ship around the UK. You can even tailor them to the cat if you know anything about the person’s cat.
Now this one is a little bit extravagant but if you’re doing a family secret Santa then chances are your budgets will be much higher. If I know someone who’s moved house then I love to get something which not only looks nice but is practical. People need things when they move, and sometimes due to money, it can take a while to get everything.
This Georgian framed bathroom mirror from Bathrooms Online UK is absolutely stunning. And this would look beautiful in any family bathroom, or a downstairs toilet. The great thing about this is it’s the kind of thing someone who look at and remember you bought it for them. It comes in brushed aluminium, white aluminium or black aluminium to fit any style.

I absolutely love baking and know when I move into my own home it will be something I do quite often. If you’re buying for someone you know loves baking then grab them some Salter Gingerbread Digital Kitchen Scales* (£19.99). Not only is this a practical gift which can be used, but the gingerbread men all over are so adorable. Although I have a huge soft spot for gingerbread men.
The display is large and easy to read and you can change the functions to measure liquids in ml or fl.oz as well as food/ baking items. One of the things I love most about these is that they’re ultra-slim so they can be stored away really easily. And they’re glass so it’s really easy to clean when you drop flour over them like I do regularly.
Whether you’re buying for a guy you don’t know too much about or someone you know who is into gaming this Fallout Stein* (£12.99) is a great treat. The slogan on the glass stein comes direct from the game, although if I hadn’t watched Luke play I’d have had no idea. The stein is made from glass and it has a really good weight to it and feels great to hold. It holds 500ml of liquid so great for a cold beer, or a soft drink. And it comes in its own branded box which makes it so much easier to wrap up than the glass alone.
You could pair it with a few beers or ciders if you wanted to make it into a little gift set, budget permitting.
Personalised gifts are some of my fav’s and if you’re buying for a newlywed couple then there are so many choices. This couple’s Christmas tealight holder* (£) is so cute and something that would be brought out year after year. The one I have chosen isn’t specifically a newlywed one as it just as the two names on, so I got it for me and Luke. But there are so many more designs to show your wedding date, our first Christmas or your newlywed names.
Something like this is a really thoughtful gift, and it shows you haven’t just rushed into a shop and grabbed something on the fly. The tealight holders are all handcrafted in the Norma & Dorothy studio and are etched with the design and names. It even comes with four soy tealight candles which is such a nice touch.
I always find men harder to buy gifts for than women in general. With skincare and beauty, it can be quite easy to grab a gift set for women, but much harder for a man. Most of the grooming kits out there are either for shaving or for men with beards. But this set from The Bluebeards Revenge is the Designer Stubble Kit* (£18.99) and is for those men who just have stubble and not the full-on beard.
The set comes with a 100ml face scrub to keep the skin underneath the beard/ stubble clean and well maintained. And it also comes with a 100ml classic blend beard oil which works well on stubble and short beards. The two items come in a lovely gift set box which would make a lovely gift.
You can’t get more festive than a drink called Eskimo’s Kiss can you?! This set from the Wye Valley Brewery* (£17.50) features two bottles of beer and a pint glass to go alongside it. I’m not that good with words about beer but in the words of the brand: “This warming, malty winter brew has a biscuit base from Extra Pale Maris Otter, Munich, Amber and Crystal Malts. A balanced bitter finish follows, with Olicana – a new variety of Herefordshire-grown hop – delivering the flavours and aromas of mango and passionfruit.”
It’s not a beer or brand I’d heard of before, so if you’re looking for something a little different (and festive) this would be great for anyone you know who drinks beer.

This is a great selection of gifts for Secret Santa. I have actually just bought mine two days ago. I opted for chocolates, coffee and a nice book about how to live a happy life. 🙂
