*I have been provided a few complimentary tour tickets in exchange
for blog content. But all thoughts and opinions are my own
Whenever I go away be it for a long two-week holiday, or a weekend away I love booking activities or guided tours. I like to have things booked and planned, but that’s also the case for my hometown of London. There’s always something new to see and experience. And it doesn’t matter how much I do, there are always things on my London bucket list. Booking in advance not only gives you something to look forward to, but it can help you save money on trips and activities. Klook is the latest booking platform I’ve been using to fuel my wanderlust. I’ll explain a bit more about them in this post.
A lot of places will charge more for tickets and attractions on the door than if you book in advance. While it might only be a few pounds each time this all adds up. For example, the London Eye charge £30 on the day, you can book through Klook for £27. And the Tower of London is £27.20 on the day, or £24.70 in advance. This money can start adding up if you’re doing a few things, and booking for a few people.
I always prefer booking in advance as well as it gives you an allocated time. Whereas if you rock up and it’s busy you may need to queue.
There are a lot of things you can book through Klook for so many cities across the world from London, Paris and Rome to New York, Orlando and Dubai.
I’ve only looked at the London tours as my travelling is going to be limited this year due to the house. But there’s so much to see and do in London and plenty of ways to save money on trips and activities to do.
You can book admittance tickets to places like the Royal Greenwich Observatory, Body Worlds and Windsor Castle. Or you can book tickets which are part of a tour. The three which I have booked onto do are a Shoreditch Sunday Food Tour. This tour will take you around Shoreditch for 3 and a bit hours tasting loads of different hidden foodie spots. Food and exploring London, win-win!
I’m also doing an Underground tour learning more about the tube that we take for granted. Then there’s also a rock tour where I’ll be shown around loads of iconic places in London connected to music and classic rock. But there are so many more!
There are loads of different tours you can do which will take you from London to another part of the country. Whether you want to go shopping in Bicester Village, you want to head to Edinburgh for a day (it’s easy to do!) or you want to explore Stonehenge. There’s a tour for whatever you want to do. And these ones are great if you’re coming to London on holiday as you won’t need to worry about working out trains or hiring a car.
When I first went onto the Klook site the hardest thing I found was narrowing down some things I wanted to do. There are so many choices from attractions, food tours, walking tours, shows and so much more. Each page was so informative giving you information on days it runs, times, costs and what the tour/ ticket involves. All the ones I picked seemed to be early afternoon so I couldn’t combine any on the same day which was a bit of a shame. But it just means more of an excuse to head into London.
Once I created an account it was so easy to book the tickets as it kept my booking details and within seconds I had my confirmation e mail and my ticket waiting in my inbox.

This sounds like a really fab app for helping to save money. We are doing a weekend in London in June with the kids so will be downloading Klook to help with the activity booking.
This sounds so easy to use and a great way of saving money on attractions and excursions. Especially great when you are booking for more than one person
I have to check out Klook as I too love booking guided tours and experiences in advance of my trips I find it saves money and time.
We are heading to London in May and I am glad I have discovered about Klook as every pound saved only means we can spend that on gifts and souvenirs for our kids
Exactly. A few pounds per ticket for a whole family all adds up x
I’ve actually been looking on Klook recently, they’ve got some great prices for attractions around the world. Might have to book with them on my upcoming US trip! xo
Yeah I need to take a look there before my next New York trip as thy have some great looking trips x
What a fab app – and it always feels like an extra win when you are saving money at the same time!
I definitely agree that booking tours and attractions in advance is a great way to save money. Especially if it means you don’t have to waste precious time queuing!
This sounds like a great idea, I always like to book ahead to save money but I’ve never heard of this site so will look in the future
I have never actually heard of klook but reading this has really opened my eyes . Will definitely be searching more when we are planning some trips and activities
This app is great for people who might not have done city exploring before. Always fun to plan new trips
Thanks for this! Always good to get the heads up on how to save a few pennies.
I’ll have to check Klook out, I’m always up for saving a few pounds. Booking in advance is so much easier too, it’s nice to know you’ve got one aspect of your trip sorted!
Katie xoxo
It sounds like a great way to save money on trips. With five of us to pay for every little discount soon adds up.
I was looking at booking Harry Potter with Klook but they only offer tickets with travel from London, so it would be better for us to book direct
I thilnk tours are the best way to get a quick overview of the location you are visiting so are definitely a must for me
