*This is a collaborative post on beauty treatments I want to splurge on for my wedding
I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to beauty treatments. There’s nothing I do with any form of regularity, and even when I do it’s pretty low key and cheap. My hair is cut when it needs a cut which is around 3-4 times a year tops. And I go to my hairdresser’s house to get it done so I don’t pay very much. I’d love to get my nails done every month but I just can’t justify the price. I only get my shellac done when it’s a special occasion like a holiday or someone’s wedding. And while I should get my eyebrows threaded regularly I haven’t found anywhere local to me that does it.
Next May is when me and Luke get married which feels so exciting to say. And ahead of our wedding, I want to get a few beauty treatments as both a treat, but also to make me feel as amazing on the day as possible. Here are some that I am considering having done.
I’ve had some laser hair removal before but I didn’t have a lot of treatments and I didn’t keep up with the top-ups, but I would love to go for more laser hair removal in the lead up to the wedding. I’d love to get my underarms and legs done primarily, but also my bikini. It would save having to go and get waxed when I’m going on holiday!
For something like laser hair removal you want to go to somewhere good so I’d probably head into London to get mine. NYLC is London’s leading provider of advanced, medical-grade laser hair removal treatment. Their gold standard lasers provide long-lasting, effective and pain-free hair removal suitable for every skin type.
They say you need around 6 seasons to see the most impact and then a top-up session once or twice a year. So I’d probably need t start getting any laser done towards the end of the summer 2022 to be ready for my wedding.
Fake eyelashes just aren’t for me as I can’t put them on properly and I find them quite heavy on my lashes. But I would absolutely love to have some form of treatment to make my natural lashes look better. And to help my eye makeup to sit better.
LVL lashes are the same as a lash lift just using a specific brand products. But having the treatment gives you length, volume and lift. The lashes are covered in a serum that straightens them from the root, but rather than straightening gives them a curled look. Then the lashes are tinted, and if they need it some individual lash extensions can be added too.
As you can’t get your lashes wet for a few days after or wear mascara I would probably get this done around a week before my wedding.
Or I may look at doing my lashes myself with this lash serum.
Now I do my own dermaplaning at home, but before my wedding, I’d love to get it done properly. What it is a deep exfoliation on the skin using a scalpel that scrapes away the top layer of the skin, removing dirt and peach fuzz hair. Afterwards, the skin is super soft and it glows. Afterwards skincare products sink into the skin better and makeup sits better on the face. This is why I want it done before my wedding.
I’d probably get this done around a week before the wedding as well to give my skin loads of time to breathe after the treatment.
And of course, I’ll be going to get my nails and toes done before my wedding. There’s nothing better than beautiful and neat nails. I know that I won’t be getting my nails to match our main two colours as they’re quite dark/ bright. And it won’t look right if I’m wearing a white wedding dress. But potentially a lighter version of one of them or just a super simple french polish/ glitter sweep on my fingernails.
To make sure my nails stay looking perfect I’ll probably get these done 1-2 days before the wedding. Hopefully, then there’s no chance of me ruining or damaging them.

I have often thought about laser hair removal. I did treat myself to one I can do at home, and although I stopped using it I did find it starting to work.
My friend had the lashes done and they looked great, her youngest is looking at training to do them and I have volunteered for her to practice on me
I also have one to use at home, that’s reminded me I need to dig it out and see how it works x
Four fabulous treatments I wish I had for my wedding as well, I only did shellac nails at the time but these treatments will definitely make any bride feel like a princess
The treatments sound good, all perfect to make you feel feel great about your self.
I’ve been eyeing to try Lash lift, looks like this is a sign for a go!
Before the pandemic I used to get my nails done every month with shellac. It was my little treat. Now though, I don’t feel the need for it anymore. Laser hair removal is such a dream, but unfortunately it is so expensive. It would cost thousands to get the entire body done.
I used to be the same when it came to my nails, it’s a lovely treat but I can’t justify it so often now x
LVL lashes are deffo worth it! I went to my local to get it done. I had lash extensions for my wedding, a massage to release the stress build up and my shellac nails and toes. I also had a facial from Elizabeth Arden. All 100% worth it. xx

I deffo think I’m going to go for LVL lashes, it’s a good excuse to try them this year before day! I love the idea of a massage to relax before the big day x
honestly I don’t think you can beat french polish for a classic look at a wedding. I’ve toyed with the idea of laser hair removal, haven’t had it yet though
It is so important to pamper yourself in the run up to your wedding and I am so glad you are going to! You have chosen some fab treatments!
Ooh congratulations in your upcoming wedding. Love the sound of the lash lift, Ill look into that. Also impressed that you do your own derma. Iād definitely add a pedicure to your list, a week before and shellac on your toes so theres no chips. Trace x
Yes a pedicure as well for sure, even if I won’t be showing my toes off much it’s a nice pamper x
Interesting article about a range of beauty treatments. Many congratulations on your forthcoming wedding. Hope it all goes perfectly and you have a wonderful day to look back on forever!
I have had LVL a few times now and it is so effective but it is a treatment you could easily become one you want to keep having because of how good it makes your lashes look! I also love having my nails done, though I am so indecisive on choosing a colour x
That is my only worry that I’ll love it so much and want it done all the time haha x
