*This is a collaborative post on ways to improve your health, but all words and opinions are my own
As we approach the end of 2022, I’m already looking ahead to 2023. I don’t tend to set specific resolutions. If I want to do something, I’ll start as soon as I can. But I do like to set objectives or things I want to achieve.
It’s a big year for me as my wedding is in May, with various big family birthdays, etc. With a lot going on, I want to focus on my health and general well-being. So here are some ways to improve your health in 2023.
This is something I am so guilty of not doing.
I work from home most of the week, and unless I have plans, I rarely go outside. But I know I feel so much better when I go outside for a short walk, even if it’s freezing cold.
As the weather is so cold, you may want to avoid the outdoors altogether, but just 10 minutes outside is enough. Layer up, wear some cosy boots, and take a walk to get fresh air and clear your head. Or grab some tennis shoes and go for a game of tennis.
There’s plenty of research out there to show that as we get older, collagen production drastically declines. And I don’t want to lose the bounce in my skin or look older than I am. So I have started taking peptigen muti collagen peptides* from SoBody.
Not only does the multi-collagen Peptigen+ help promote youthful skin, but it also helps reduce joint pain and encourage hair and nail growth. It can also help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and help gut & digestive health and mobility. So a bit of an all-rounder.
You can add the collagen powder into your coffee, a morning smoothie or bake it into a meal. So it’s not a food supplement or replacement. Plus, it has zero fat and zero carbs in the powder.

Now, this might seem obvious but hear me out. Any exercise is great, but if you stick to one type, you can neglect other areas of your body, and your body may even get used to it. So mix it up a bit.
I have the Peloton bike and do cycle classes around four times a week. But then I do various strength classes throughout the week, generally doing each of; core, upper body, lower body and full body once a week. Then every so often, I will throw in dance cardio or barre when my weekend allows me the time to.
Doing a mixture of things activates different parts of my body and makes me feel pretty good.

Collagen is so important! I take a daily collagen supplement and wouldn’t be without it especially as I’m over 40 now.
I figured I’d start as early as possible to be safe x
I’m a big fan of collagen. It’s so good for so many parts of your body. I take it every day.
I definitely need to excercise more. I love working out but I rarely have time to do so. I do take vitamins and supplements regularly.
It’s so hard to find time to do everything you’re meant to do x
I don’t tend to do New Year resolutions but I do like the idea of setting some goals. I do need to start drinking more water and keeping on top of fitness and less screen time.
It is so hard to be motivated to improve your health this time of year! Thank you for this reminder.
I try to stay active each day but it definitely gets tricky during the winter with the holidays and the cold temps. I love being outdoors so getting in the mindset of indoor workouts mostly is a bit of a challenge. I think mixing it up though is a good way to keep the energy up!
I think that’s the only upside to me not being very outdoorsy in that I don’t find it any harder to work out in the winter than the summer x
I definitely need to work on going out more and working out more for sure. I’d probably feel more energize if I did.
Exercise is really very important and I need to start that . Other suggestions are also really helpful.
I really want a peleton bike and have done since they came on sale, spinning classes used to be my favourite at the gym x
I think most people will make positive intentions when it comes to New Year. I’d love to get a Peleton bike, I think it would be a great way to get fit but at my own convenience.
That’s exactly why I got it and 2 years later I still love it x
These are some really importing things to think about when it comes to health. I could definitely do with taking them all onboard next year as I’m awful for staying inside.
I look outside and usually think nah it’s too cold/ windy/ wet etc, but then when I do go outside I usually feel better x
