Get Someone An Experience Gift This Christmas

Items in this experience gift guide have been provided in exchange for inclusion but all thoughts and opinions are my own

In two months from this post it will be Christmas and I can’t get over it, even though I’m very excited. Soon enough Christmas music will be playing in shops and decorations will be starting to go up. Then it will feel real as I can’t comprehend that 2023 is getting closer to it’s end.

If you’re not completely sure what to get someone, or they seem to have everything, an experience gift can be perfect. I love giving and receiving experience gifts as you then have something to look forward to. Over the years I’ve gifted theatre trips, spa vouchers and so much more.

For anyone who loves Brighton

Brighton is a little over two hours on the train for us, so it’s the perfect spot for a daytrip. And when we went a few weeks ago we experience the Brighton i360 for the first time. It’s a giant glass pod that travels from the ground 450ft above Brighton beach. You get views all across the beach and seafront, but also right across the city as well.

If the pod looks vaguely familiar you’d be right, it was designed by the architects behind the London eye. Although it’s ten times the size of a pod on the London eye so there’s plenty of space to walk around and see all the views.

The experience takes about half an hour in total and you can buy vouchers for the experience alongside options such as entrance with lunch, or the option we did which included a drink onboard the bar. There’s also a new roller rink at the bottom of the tower if you want to keep your feet firmly on the ground.

If you know someone into extreme activities there are also some adrenaline filled options. You can walk on the roof 450ft in the air, drop from door, or climb the tower to learn about the inner workings. I was more than happy to keep myself firmly inside the pod at all times.

Buyagift Christmas box

An experience gift for them to choose

I love the experience boxes from Buyagift because they offer so much choice for the recipiant to choose from. This Happy Christmas box (£62.99) gives you the choice of thousands of different experiences at locations all across the UK.

This ranges from supercar driving and paintballing activities to spa trips and days out, or for the foodie afternoon teas and meals out. And the vouchers are valid for 24 months so there’s plenty of time to plan.

I’ve been gifted boxes like this before and love the experience of going through all the options. But the hardest part is choosing what to go for. I love saving mine for when I go on mini breaks or days out so I can experience something I wouldn’t usually.
