It’s March already which means Mother’s Day is fast approaching. For me this year is going to be super special because it’s my first year as a mum myself (something I sometimes can’t get over). But while this post focus’ on 15th March, they’re gift ideas that can be enjoyed by anyone at any point of the year.
This bottle has been made (literally) for my mum. This mum description Prosecco* (£20.99) can be personalised with a name to make it extra special.
The bottle itself says ‘Mum. 1. Loves a glass of Prosecco. 2. This most caring person ever. 3. Gives the best cuddles’ and the recipients name can be added under mum.
Prosecco is produced from the Glera grape variety in the region of Prosecco DOC in North East Italy. And I know my mum is going to absolutely love this special touch (plus a new Prosecco to try).
Boutique gifts do so many great gift options including plenty of personalised options.
I love a good hamper, especially one filled with sweet treats like the sparkling afternoon tea and treats box* (£42). It’s a chance to try some new products and brands you may not have tried before, and you get to be a bit indulgent. This box comes with a mini bottle of Prosecco, some strawberry and cream biscuits, a tea bag, three cake bars, a super mum gingerbread and a little plaque. It’s such a beautiful box and all the goodies tasted so good (the salted caramel brownie is a personal favourite!)
Box of Hugs London do a whole host of boxes so whatever your mum’s interest there’s something for everyone. Some personal favourites of mine are the good read and a warm cuppa box complete with a new book, a beautiful mug and some sweet treats. The little time for you box has a whole host of self-care and cosy items.
I’ve used Faith in Nature’s haircare before but never their body care, so these have been super exciting to try. The brand started in 1974 founded by Rivka when natural, cruelty-free and vegan products weren’t common. And now they have a whole host of products and scents to choose from.
The lavender and geranium scent is so calming and relaxing, and there’s matching hand wash, hand and body lotion, and body wash. Although I don’t think much can beat the grapefruit and orange scent for me as it’s so energising.
One of the things I love about Faith in Nature is the refillable nature of their products. You can buy huge refills to avoid throwing out your everyday bottles which I love.
It seems like the Teletubbies have been making a bit of a resurgence, I’ve seen so many things branded with them.
I’m a big fan of microwaveable bags as opposed to hot water bottles and Warmies have come out with a Teletubbies collection* (£29.99). The four Teletubbies are joined by Noo-Noo as heatable plush pals. They’re scented with French lavender designed to relax as well as ease and warm any pain. I find these great when I have stomach pains
And Glisten Cosmetics have come out with a whole Teletubbies line including highlighters, wet liner palettes and so much more. And the packaging and branding on everything looks amazing.
I’m not a huge makeup wearer any more so opted for the Dipsy wash bag* (£22) which is such a great size to store everyday products in, or take away when you’re travelling.
We’re big game people in our house so a new game is a great idea for Mother’s Day. And this year I have smarter* (£24.99).
Smarter is a game for 2-12 people to prove who is the smartest. There’s 244 cards so no two games are the same, and it contains trivia, puzzles, lateral thinking tasks ands impressions. Throughout the game you’re looking to complete things in fast 45-second rounds to spell out SMARTER and win.
The box is really compact which is great if you’re going to visit family, and I can’t wait to give this a go.
I love the idea of crafting items and mindful tasks, but I rarely carve out the time to do them. But that’s something I want to change because they really help slow down your mind and let you focus.
Art Dubba is a UK-based creative brand offering Indian-inspired DIY art kits. Designed to promote relaxation and creativity they’re perfect to help with a bit of ‘me time’, especially important for mum’s who need a bit of time to just be themselves.
I have some DIY items to make a bookmark and some coasters complete with pens to colour and some decorative accessories to really make them sparkle.
