As most of you know I am attempting to grow my fringe out and despite the fact that my hair grows fast it’s just not going fast enough. How thousands of people put up with this process I’ll never know.
I definitely don’t treat my hair as well as I should, up until a month ago I was washing it every single day and using a hairdryer pretty much every day. While I don’t use any products on my hair like gel/hairspray/wax it still doesn’t get the TLC that it deserves.
I have tried so many hair care products before and to be honest they’d usually just be whatever was on offer in Boots. Having always been a fan of the John Frieda Radiant Red collection which was recommended by my hairdresser I was very excited to try out their Luxurious Volume* collection. I’ve never found that my hair has loads of volume so something claiming to add extra volume to my mop was just what I needed. Plus since moving around my fringe I have been finding my parting is getting a little frizzy, especially in this transitional Autumn weather.
I’ve tried using combi products and separates and have always found that a separate conditioner seems to work so much better and since using these products I’ve definitely noticed more of a bounce of volume at the roots of my hair. The conditioner especially leaves my hair feeling silky smooth and so much better than it ever has with the cheap own brand products. Thankfully there’s no strong smell which is something I can’t stand with haircare products.
Hair loss can happen for so many reasons such as stress, age, medical side effects and many more, but don’t ignore it. If you’re suffering from hair loss it could be rectified as easily as taking supplements, improving your self-care or changing up your diet, but if it is a bit more extreme don’t be afraid to ask for help. For most people, a good hair day gives us confidence and makes us feel good about life
Hair transplant cost may initially scare you but if you think it could help you don’t be afraid to inquire.
Even if you can only let your hair dry naturally at the weekend when you’re not working, or on those days when you manage to wash your hair before bed, just using your hairdryer/ tongs/ straighteners one less time a week will help your hair. If you are using heated products make sure you use protection spray to limit how much impact your hair takes from the extreme heat.
I remember colouring my hair once and really really damagaing. I used the Aussie miracle repair and also argan oil, they worked absolute wonders and I’d highly recommend them
I love John Frieda products! I use his blonde range and it really works to keep my blonde looking ashy and not brassy! Great tips!

I’m a big fan of this range, in fact I have the hair mousse now and use it every day! It gives great volume
I love John Frieda haircare products! Ever since I bleached my hair earlier this year and the bleach caused so much damage to my normally healthy hair I’ve been reaching for his haircare to help it get back to normal.
I think I would be really nervous about the hair implants. I know I don’t want to lose the hair but that feels scarier.
I haven’t heard about this product and it really sounds great I would love to give it a try my hair really needed this
My hair used to be in terrible condition, but I found that by washing it less and using less heat, it’s improved so much! x

I hear you about growing your hair out. I’ve done it a couple of times in my life and swear every time that I’ll never do it again. I’ll have to keep an eye out for these. Between the garden and the pool this summer, my hair is definitely in need of some extra TLC! x
Great tips! That is exactly what I am trying to do also!
I have seen the John Frieda products in so many stores and I am so curious to give them a try.
I have been really good with my hair as I only but a hair dryer 3 years ago :). Not putting so many products in my hair helped me to grow it nice and strong too.And another tip would be natural masks, simply the best.
These are some great tips! My hairs are thin and wavy! I’m always curious to learn about new hair care products. I’ll check John Frieda products!
Some great tips and I have really cut down on using heat to style my hair and it does make a difference x
Great tips. I like to try not to wash my hair too often and I always use a conditioner. I dry my hair before heat styling as it’s faster and i guess won’t damage the hair as much.
I’m actually a big fan of John Freida’s Go Blonder conditioner – adds a little lift to my otherwise mousey brown locks! x
Hair care is so important! These look like really great products, although I’ve never used this brand before. Thanks for the great post, I’ll have to check ’em out!
These sound like some rather fantastic products! I’m so lazy when it comes to my hair; I really ought to invest in a decent hair care range.
My hairs are my best asset and i try everything to maintain their beauty. I love those products who add volume to our hair and nourish them as well.
I love the John Freida blond products too, they really do work and thankfully nowadays I never use any heated products. It makes a lot of difference. Mich x
Its so important to take care of your hair, you are right in saying too much heat can damage hair and using products like these would help to keep it in great condition.
