Three Tips To Keep Your Hair In Great Condition

As most of you know I am attempting to grow my fringe out and despite the fact that my hair grows fast it’s just not going fast enough. How thousands of people put up with this process I’ll never know.

I definitely don’t treat my hair as well as I should, up until a month ago I was washing it every single day and using a hairdryer pretty much every day. While I don’t use any products on my hair like gel/hairspray/wax it still doesn’t get the TLC that it deserves.

Wash it with the right products

I have tried so many hair care products before and to be honest they’d usually just be whatever was on offer in Boots. Having always been a fan of the John Frieda Radiant Red collection which was recommended by my hairdresser I was very excited to try out their Luxurious Volume* collection. I’ve never found that my hair has loads of volume so something claiming to add extra volume to my mop was just what I needed. Plus since moving around my fringe I have been finding my parting is getting a little frizzy, especially in this transitional Autumn weather.

I’ve tried using combi products and separates and have always found that a separate conditioner seems to work so much better and since using these products I’ve definitely noticed more of a bounce of volume at the roots of my hair. The conditioner especially leaves my hair feeling silky smooth and so much better than it ever has with the cheap own brand products. Thankfully there’s no strong smell which is something I can’t stand with haircare products.

Don’t ignore hair loss

Hair loss can happen for so many reasons such as stress, age, medical side effects and many more, but don’t ignore it. If you’re suffering from hair loss it could be rectified as easily as taking supplements, improving your self-care or changing up your diet, but if it is a bit more extreme don’t be afraid to ask for help. For most people, a good hair day gives us confidence and makes us feel good about life

Hair transplant cost may initially scare you but if you think it could help you don’t be afraid to inquire.

Limit your time using heated products

Even if you can only let your hair dry naturally at the weekend when you’re not working, or on those days when you manage to wash your hair before bed, just using your hairdryer/ tongs/ straighteners one less time a week will help your hair. If you are using heated products make sure you use protection spray to limit how much impact your hair takes from the extreme heat.
