Perfecting The Festive Party Outfit With Quiz
If I’m looking for party dresses or something for a special occasion like a wedding or gathering Quiz is pretty much one of my go to stores to shop in, especially as their website has a fantastic range of plus sized items. Earlier this year when my friend got married I ended up buying three dresses as options to wear and actually kept every single one of them as they were so pretty. So when the brand contacted me to ask if I wanted to take part in a Blogging Secret Santa I jumped at the chance.
I was paired with a lovely blogger called Sass where we had to pick out an outfit for each other. I opted for a casual style for her with some boots which I love so much I might have to buy for myself. A few weeks after our selections a parcel landed at my flat and I was so excited to see what had been chosen out for me and I wasn’t disappointed.
The outfit began with a beautiful red sweetheart neck dipped hem dress*. Now I am a huge fan of dipped hems anyway as I think they’re really flattering on my size so I was so happy with the design, especially because it was a colour I’d never worn before. Yes, that’s right I’ve never worn a red dress. Usually, I stick to black as I feel that being a bit larger it’s more flattering but the fit of this dress and the soft feel of it on totally changed my mind and I absolutely love it. It’s complete with the cold-shoulder design which is pretty much everywhere now but I actually really like it.

Now a dress wouldn’t be a perfect party outfit without some sparkly shoes* and I lucked out with these black sparkly beauties. Sadly I can’t see them on the website anymore – although styles are always changing. I was a little worried about the height of the heel when I first saw them but in actual fact, as they have a small ankle strap I didn’t find that my foot felt unsupported in them. It might take me some getting used to to be able to go a whole night out in them but I am ready to take on that challenge. I am hoping to wear these to a dinner, dance I am going to at New Year so wish me luck.
As a perfect contrast to the bright red dress, the final item I received was a lovely crossbody black bag* with silver strap detailing. What I love about this is if you pull the strap inside you can use it like a clutch meaning I don’t have to have it slung over my shoulder all night.
