Seven Reasons Why You Need A Cineworld Unlimited Card

Back in December Cineworld finally opening its doors in Watford and was a day I had been counting down to. I absolutely love going to the cinema but it can be very expensive so I tended to limit myself to going on days when I could get deals like Tuesday/ Wednesday through Meercat movies etc, but now I don’t have to. In an ideal world, I’d go and see multiple films every single week and devour all of the new releases’ when they come out which is why I invested in a Cineworld Unlimited Card. If you’re debating about getting one here’s why you need one in your life.

Cineworld Unlimited Card: It’s such good value for money

With the average cost of a cinema ticket varying from £12-15, you can get an unlimited card from just £17.80 a month (or slightly more if you include the West End London cinema’s) which means even if you go just three times over a two month period you’ve made back your money.

I was lucky enough to buy an annual pass through an employee discount portal which was just £149 for the whole year making it just £12.40 a month which is crazy good value. This is definitely an avenue you should check out if you or someone you know gets employee discount perks.

Why you should get a Cineworld Card: It means you’ll watch a lot more movies

When I’d pay per movie I went to see I was quite selective about what I saw in the cinema and it was only movies that I knew I’d love that I went to see, but having the flexibility of an unlimited card means I’ll go and see a whole lot more. This way I will experience a lot more genres of movies and I might surprise myself and end up loving something I’d never expect to.  In the first week of getting our cards I had seen Mary Poppins, Bumblebee and Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse, and without the card, I think I’d have only gone to see one of those.

Chances are if the options there you will watch a lot more movies than you ever would have.

Cineworld Unlimted Card: You can book your seats in advance

One of the things I worried about with the unlimited pass was whether you just had to show up for a screening, but no you can book your tickets in advance. This means if you’re keen to see a movie on the day it comes out you can pop on the app, book your tickets and it won’t cost you a single penny.

I’ll be doing this for all the new Marvel movies out this year so I can see them as soon as they’re out.

Why should I get a Cineworld Unlimited Card? – Special unlimited advanced screenings

Although I’ve not been to one of these yet Cineworld do special advanced screenings of some movies especially for Unlimited card members, which means you may be able to see a particular movie before it’s released to the masses. I think this is such a cool thing to do and a real incentive to get one of the cards.

If there’s a movie coming out that you can’t contain your excitement to see it’s worth looking out for advanced screenings.

It’s not just about the movies- you get money off snacks and drinks

When you first sign up you get 10% off any snacks and drinks bought at the cinema (including Cineworld Starbucks licensed stores) and once you’ve been a member for a year you get Premium Card status this ups to 25%. So if you fancy a drink or some popcorn you can get some money off your purchase.

Money off discounts with your Cineworld Card including money off at restaurants

When you’re an Unlimited Card holder you can get 25% off discount from partner restaurants including Bella Italia, Yo! Sushi and loads more. I think this is such a nice idea as it’s always nice to grab dinner out when you go to the cinema. They used to partner with Frankie and Benny’s and it’s something I hope that they bring back as I love a good F&B.

The Cineworld in Watford is pure luxury

The first time I sat down in the Cineworld Watford I was blown away at how luxury it felt. Unless you go VIP the seats in normal cinemas always feel too crowded and close together but all the seats in our Cineworld are amazing. There’s enough room in front of you that you can put your bag down and not have to get up or move if someone needs to get past, the seats recline slightly making them super comfortable and there’s space either side so you don’t feel wedged in or that you’re going to randomly knock into the poor soul sat next to you.

Have you ever thought about getting an unlimited cinema card?

I have a cineworld card and absolutely love it! I see at least 4 films a month and I do not care if they are good or not because I am not paying to see them. Plus the bonus of getting discount of food and drinks!

I have been wanting a Cineworld unlimited card for years. I think it would make me actually switch off for a few hours and relax and watch a film which is something I can’t seem to do at home.

We don’t have a Cineworld near us but my friend has a card For Cineworld and goes once a week. Now my daughter is older, she wants to go to the cinema all of the time but I don’t mind. This card looks like a good one to have

For me booking seats online for movies is really convenient because you can choose where you want to and less hassle. This sounds really nice and lots of advantage.

We don’t have a Cineworld here in N.I – at least I don’t think we do! But it certainly sounds like a great investment, especially if you’re a huge movie buff!

This is pretty cool, I am not sure if we have that in the US but I am sure going to check 🙂 Thanks for sharing!!

We looked into getting one of these last year, I think they’re great value and it definitely gets you out of the house in dates and with friends a lot more. The only problem is we would need a baby sitter each time so I’m not sure we’d be able to make the most of it.

  13. Kara says:

I cannot afford one for all the family, but hoping they bring out a family one

  14. Fatima says:

I don’t have one nearby. Would have loved to get one of that card for myself.

I had a Cineworld card for years and years, starting back when they were only £9.99 a month. I cancelled mine a couple of years ago as I just wasnt using it as much as I usually would and now the cinema is a real treat. Maybe I’ll start mine again in the future as they are still worth it if you go a couple of times a month xxx
