Autumnal Date Night Ideas

*This is a collaborative post on Autumnal date night ideas but all words are my own

Summer might be the season of love, but there’s nothing like a snuggly Autumn. Halloween might not be a holiday associated with love, but cooler evenings and candles burning its time to cuddle up on the sofa. Autumn is my favourite month and as the festive season starts to creep up on you it’s important to take some time for each other. It’s easy to get into a rut when you feel comfortable and not make as much time for each other. So whether you find time each week or each month to have a proper date night make sure you’re taking the time.

It might be harder to go out for date night in the Autumn months as you never know what the weather will do. I’ve done a whole post of date night ideas inside which you can take a look at. But here are some Autumnal date night ideas to spend time with your partner.

Autumnal date night- Pumpkin picking

Me and Luke went pumpkin picking for the very first time at the start of October and it was so much fun. And you can’t get more Autumnal than a pumpkin picking date.

The weather was rubbish and it rained the whole time we were there but that didn’t stop us from having fun. It felt quite practical as we were going to buy pumpkins that we needed, but it was so much more than that. And I actually think the bad weather made it more fun. Then you can do part two of the date when you come to carve the pumpkins.

Throw a Halloween party for two

Halloween falls on a Sunday this year so that’s the perfect excuse to celebrate all day. Decorate your home with some spooky decor, watch some Halloween movies and eat all the spooky snacks.

I’m not the biggest fan of horror movies so my film choices would be things like Hocus Pocus and Sleepy Hollow. Personally, I think M&S have knocked it out of the park with Halloween-themed edible treats so I’ve been slowly picking up bits from there in my weekly shop to keep for the day.

Autumnal date night- Indoor picnic

Following on from the idea above throw yourselves an indoor picnic. With the weather being so unpredictable do a similar thing at home. Grab all the picky bits of food that you love and some nice drinks and do the same thing at home.

We’re massive fans of buffets and picnic-style food so this is right up our street. It’s always something I look forward to each Christmas when the party food comes out and you have an excuse to buy it all. Of course, if the weather’s nice then take it to your garden or local park, but maybe take a jumper with you.

Bedroom time

It’s so important as a couple to enjoy some intimacy and time together in the bedroom (or where ever else you choose). While sex and physical contact isn’t always the biggest part of a relationship it is an important part. Perhaps you want to buy some oils and give each other a massage. Or maybe you want to buy some toys to use together like a masturbator (click here for some ideas).

Whatever intimacy means to you make sure you take some time for it.

We are going camping in a few weeks! Of course, it isn’t quite a date since it’s with the scouts and the kids will be there. We do “good massages” using oils at least once per month 🙂

Pumpking picking seems like an interesting date. I may try this the next time I’m in a place where pumpkins are in abundance.

Great date night ideas, we recently went to a comedy night locally and had so much fun, and definitely want to go again. Another thing we want to do is an escape room
