For the second week of my gift guides, I am talking exclusively about jewellery and not just that but products from Jewellery box. I have been a huge fan of the brand for a few year’s now as their collection of Sterling Silver and 9ct gold items are not only really reasonably priced but they do some cool quirky items like a Pumpkin pendant I bought last year ahead of Halloween and some dinosaur stud earrings which I featured in last year’s jewellery gift guide.
Jewellery is always a great addition to Christmas presents, especially when you have a mum who loves glittery things, but going into a high street jewellers can turn out to be a very expensive experience. Thankfully Jewellery box offer items at better prices than I’ve seen elsewhere and for just £45 I managed to nab two rings, a pair of stud earrings and a set with matching bracelet and earrings. And everything was sterling silver! Here are my top tips from Jewellery box
I’m starting with a beautiful pair of daisy stud earrings* which are predominantly in silver but have a dipped gold center to emphasize the daisy look. They are such a lovely pair and fit perfectly as an everyday pair as they don’t sit out from the ear too much so there’s no irritation. I’m a huge fan of floral earrings and the gold dip just makes them stand out even more. For the price, they’re really solid and don’t feel flimsy in the slightest.
There’s a lot of detailing on the petals to give them a 3D effect which you can see in the photo despite them being quite flat on a side view. On the back they are smooth so they’re really comfortable to wear and the stud posts have indents at the ends to stop the backs falling off.
For you’re looking for a decent quality silver ring with an embedded stone then this Amethyst Ring* is exactly what you need. A lot of times cheaper rings can feel flexible or hollow but this doesn’t have that feeling and despite wearing solidly for a week it looks so no different to when I received it. The ring comes in a number of different stone types designed for birthstones but don’t let that stop you, I didn’t get one specific for my birth month. The great thing about the ring is that it’s available in any size from J to U which is a huge range.
Again another birthstone orientated ring*, I chose the pink tourmaline stone which is design for October but who needs to know that? It’s a bit thinner in design than the above ring and the band is a twisted silver design which is really cute and dainty. I absolutely love this ring as not only does it look great on its own but it works really well as a stacking ring alongside other smaller rings. As this ring is daintier it comes in even more sizes starting at a tiny I right through to U and the colours are really vibrant.
Next up I decided to go for a matching set of dreamcatcher earrings* and dreamcatcher bracelet*. This pair comes in at just £14 and there’s even a matching necklace you can add in to round out the collection. The design is a beautiful silver dreamcatcher with blue stone nestled in the centre. The earrings are a really good size so the pattern isn’t compromised by them being too small and the bracelet is on a dainty 7-inch silver chain. There are various designs of these and you can choose rose/ gold colouring but I think the blue stands out from the silver really well.
