February was a bit of a weird month. On one hand, it seemed to drag like no one’s business, but on the other hand, it disappeared with the blink of an eye. We’ve had the extra leap year day now, although I’m sure the next one will be back before we know it.
Here’s a bit more about how my month has been.
Noting it down in one place made me realise quite how much I ate out (and this doesn’t include during my days out in London) *oops*. The 1st of February saw my belated birthday outing with some of my besties. We headed to Bad Egg in Central for Bottomless Brunch which was pretty great. I had some super tasty food, and quite a bit of prosecco. Happy 30th to me.
I tried a new opening in Watford called Cassio Lounge both for a dinner with Luke, but also for brunch with my friend. You can read more about the restaurant here, but brunch was definitely a fav of mine! We also had another trip to Las Iguanas as Luke hadn’t been since it opened. We tried a Brazilian restaurant in Watford with my friend which was nice. And we went to Harvester on the day after Valentines Day which was just a nice excuse to get out.
I wish I had more news on the house I could share but we’re currently at the mercy of the solicitors. Hopefully, it won’t be much longer than a few weeks *fingers crossed*.
It’s been a pretty solid blogging month where I’ve worked with some great brands on sponsored content including some homeware brands, and one on a human hair wig. The human hair wig post has come at a particularly important time as a family friend has recently passed away from cancer. And I know that to keep her confidence up she used to wear wigs quite a lot.
I also had the second article I wrote for The Metro go live all about my past experiences of dating as someone plus size. And a few days ago my Mother’s Day guide went live featuring a whole load of great brands.
Near the end of the month, I took a day off work to head up to Cheltenham and check out the first-ever Prezzybox store. The store itself looked amazing and I could have spent so much money in the shop, there are a few bits I want to pick up for Luke’s birthday coming up. And it was great to meet the team behind Prezzybox who I’ve only spoken to digitally, and a few new bloggers as well. My final event was a gig and it was the farewell show for The Lounge Kittens who are a band I’ve loved and seen a lot over the past few years. The show was great and it was a fun Friday evening.
I had one manic weekend in February where I spent both days in London. Even though I love London I try and spread out my trips both from a money aspect and to not exhaust myself. On Saturday I had a date day with my best friend where we did a Cheese Tour around lunchtime, a wander around London and then a trip to see Matilda which was great. The tour and the show were thanks to Musement who gifted me the tickets.
Then I did my first of three events I’m booked on for with Klook who were kind enough to gift me a Food tour around Shoreditch which I took my dad on. We got to explore the area and try loads of amazing food which I loved.
It was another great month of movies with five viewings at Cineworld. It started with Spies in Disguise which was silly but pretty funny. Then I went to see a recording of Kinky Boots which was amazing. It’s really made me want to see the show whenever it’s around. Then me and Luke saw Birds of Prey which was pretty good and Margot Robbie did a great job.
Then we got around to seeing 1917 which was amazing. The way it was shot in continuous motion was really clever and it was pretty emotional. Then we finally ended the month by seeing Onward which we have been counting down the days for.

My February was not bad. It did seem to drag on a bit. Yours seemed like it was full of fun and good times!
It sounds like you had a busy month, and fingers crossed for your house move. My February was spent mostly at hospital and a sick child
Even though it was a short month you seemed to pack a lot in! We’d love to see see Matilda! A quiet one for us as we’ve been nursing colds x
WOW it sounds like you managed to squeeze lots into a short month, it flew by for me but maybe that’s just because January felt like it dragged so much lol!
I had no idea there was now an actual Prezzybox store, that’s so cool! It sounds like you have worked on some great posts and collabs in Feb too, fingers crossed the house move is soon for you and March is just as fab as Feb was for you too!
Yeah the month did just fly by to be honest, but it’s been a good one x
February sounds cool and you got up to a lot. Hope you hear back about the house soon, so good luck! Well done on all the blogging too. My February was slow in that aspect, but it was a good month.
February seems to have come and gone in no time. I wonder where it went? I’m sorry to hear that the house stuff is a bit static at the moment, but it is the way ot goes so many times. Patience is needed in these things. But I’m sure it will all roll perfectly smoothly for you once the ball is well and truly rolling.
Congrats also on The Metro article, that is brilliant. I should have a look out for that.
You’ve a busy month of it, so I hope March is good for you too.
Thanks, I think I’m just impatient as I really want to get the keys and I know there’s nothing holding us up on our end x
Sounds like you have had a lot on with blogging and events. Eating out though I love that, bottomless brunch sign me up!
Looks like you have had a jam packed month!
February went by so fast but you manage to do a lot of things during that time period. Sounds like you had a wonderful and productive month.
