Valentine’s Day Gifts Your Partner Will Love

*Items in this guide have been gifted to me, but all thoughts and ideas on Valentines Day gifts are my own

If the past year has taught us anything it’s to appreciate those around you, and show people how much you love them. Now Valentines Day may be a commercial holiday just to encourage spending, but it’s a time to show that special someone in your life that you love them. Or it’s an excuse for an at-home date to eat, drink and relax.

Here are some Valentine’s Day gifts that your partner is guaranteed to love.

Home decorations

We’re all spending a hell of a lot more time at home, so how about a decorative gift for the home?! This small body vase* (£21) from Red Candy is absolutely beautiful. I have seen these styles of vases and planters everywhere and they’d be a great gift for him or her. Whether you’re buying for a fun-loving feminist or just someone who appreciates the female form you can’t go wrong.

The ceramic vase is tastefully created and it has a good weight to it. She looks stunning on her own, but pop in a little bouquet of dried or freshly-cut flowers and she’ll flourish.

Buyagift Experience

Valentine’s Day gifts to enjoy at a later date

Each year we’d usually go out for a fancy dinner but this year won’t be quite the same. It’s almost certain that we’ll still be in lockdown. And even if we weren’t I don’t think we’d feel comfortable going into London to nice restaurants. But that’s where Buyagift comes in. You can grab a voucher for pretty much anything that you can then enjoy later in the year when the world feels safer. I chose the Beef Wellington Experience at Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant* (£130) as this has been on our wishlist to go to for a while.

Having the voucher means we know we have an epic meal we don’t have to pay for to come. I’ve been building up a collection of experience vouchers and I can’t wait to start booking them. There are loads of Valentine’s Day gifts you can choose from on Buyagift. Choose from meals out, spa trips, weekends away, adrenaline activities and so much more.

Armani you perfume for her

The gift of fragrance

Even though we’re not going out anywhere I still love to put on perfume every single day. So getting a perfume would be right up my street, and I’m sure it’s one of those Valentine’s Day gifts plenty of people would appreciate. Maybe you could go for his and her scents?

I picked out Armani ‘In Love With You’* (From £42.99)  which is a reimaging of the ‘Because It’s You’ scent. It has top notes of sour cherry, raspberry, and blackcurrant with middle notes of rose, jasmine, and wormwood and a base note of patchouli. And while I’m terrible at describing scents this one was truly beautiful and a nice Winter/ Spring scent with the warm berries and light florals.

Perfume Direct has a whole host of perfumes and aftershaves for you to choose from so make sure you check them out.

Hylaronic acid serum from corsx

Pampering Valentine’s Day gifts

Seeing as Valentine’s Day is at a weekend I love the idea of having an at-home spa weekend full of skincare and pampering. To have a good spa weekend you need some good skincare, and hyaluronic acid is super important to keep the skin hydrated.

I’ve tried a few other items from CORSX over the past few months and now have the Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence* (£18.40) in my collection. It feels partway between a liquid and a gel in consistency but my skin drinks this up each and every time I use it. It’s designed to make the skin softer and moisturized and leave skin looking silky smooth. And at this time of the year when it’s very cold, we need to push even more moisture into our skin.

Lacura hot cloth cleansers

Valentine’s Day gifts you can pick up at the supermarket

Lacura is Aldi’s beauty range and they do so many great products at insanely good prices. The Hot Cloth Cleanser Gift Set* comes in at just £5.99 and includes 4 different cleansers and a muslin cloth. A price you can’t go wrong for.

In the set you get the original, pink clay, rose and vitamin C cleansers which are great for all skin types. They are great for removing makeup (not that most of us are wearing much at the moment), and they deep clean the skin to leave it feeling smooth and soft. I also like leaving them on the skin for a little while as a mask before washing it off. My skin always feels fresh after using these.

Lacura jade roller

But that isn’t all Aldi has. You can pick up tools as well like this Jade Face Roller*.

Rollers like these are great for helping to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and tighten the skin. It does it by promoting lymphatic drainage in the skin and it’s so relaxing dragging it over the face. This is a great tool to use in an at-home pamper session as you can lay down, close your eyes, and roll the cold jade all over your face.

Bioderma body oil and micellar water
Pampering goodies from Bioderma

If you’re looking for an indulgent spa-like experience then you need a shower oil. And the Bioderma-Atoderma Shower Oil* (£10.50) is what I’ve been using lately. Using oil is really important to keep hydration in the skin, especially during these colder months. It also soothes the skin and relieves tightness as well as rebuilding the skin’s barrier.

All you have to do is put it on damp skin to lather up the oil, then you rinse thoroughly. And my skin always feels super smooth and silky after use. You can use this shower oil on both the body and face and it’s suitable for all ages.

I couldn’t talk about Bioderma without speaking about the Sensibio Micellar Water* (£16.10). Even though I’m at home I’m trying to use a little bit of makeup again so this has come in very handy. This version is great for anyone with sensitive skin, and it can be used on the eyes as well.

What do you think of my Valentine’s day gift ideas? Have you picked anything up?
